It is not possible for DALIDA to have disappeared. There must be in this large universe a planet called DALIDA. That's where she is right now.....still singing.... still radiant with natural beauty... !!! :-))
Well gee I hope no one kills me for saying this: I watched in a hypnotic state.....I believed I was seeing her real pain come through (something a professional world never allow to happen on stage as that can be disastrous to a performance). On stage all professionals stay in control no matter what the histrionics are...At the end as she posed I saw it. The consummate entertainer posed for the applause to wash over her.....She was acting....Good for her.....No one saw her real pain. Good!
t is undoubted the best video to the song of "Je suis malade" Dalida! bully for you forever! thank you for this song, it for all, who is sick and be terrible single in unbearable love the answer of which did not meet...
She is original ! Eaven Lara Fabian is great, but i would love to hear Patricia Kaas singing this song ... I bet she would be wonderfull ! Someone agree with me?
I watch the video and admire the great artist that she is. But at the same time I feel so sad because we all know she had suffered in her private life. Happiness eluded DALIDA.
i think she was singing about her sickness, her depression and all her husbands left her alone at the end with her grief. that's why I love this song cuz she is not acting. that's what she felt for a long time.

Dominique

3 - Don't you ever neglect to discover the Serge Lama versions. He is not only 'the one who created the song', he is one the mightiest vocalists of French popular singing, with a unique voice too...
You guys are right. A singer is more than just a God given voice. And to each his own. I wasn't raised with Dalida, as I said, but I understand what you are saying. I am new to Dalida...and we know, as she ended up committing suicide, that she is singing with great emotion and pain. You certainly can feel it here and she milks it extremely well, but as a singer...better than Lara Fabian??? Seriously??

@Aylinne2008 yes dear, I think a singer, whatever his (or her) intensity of feelings musn't have to forget his position on the stage...which means: if I am an actor I have to act as an actor but, as a singer I must try to refrain my gestures and therefore concentrating into my voice...not forgetting not to make my words incomprehensible!
If I dare say, please, listen the Dalida version...if not the author Serge Lama one!
wer can we find such an artist in those modern days?
wer can we find an artist on stage, owning the stage, becoming the wolrd for some time,
dalida owns the viewer, she simply own the soul and she cd simply make us cry, she makes us relate to her pain, even if the language she is singing is not understood..
she's amazing, and the thing the she decided to loose her life is because people no longer treated her as a human, they treated her as a godess, that was too painful to her
I think this song was written for her by her husban for a show and they at first they said they did not want the song in the show and Dalida told her husband that and then he killed himself it was either this song or Mourir sur Scene but I am pretty sure it was this song
Dear, NOT AT ALL. The original was written by a reknown French singer called Serge Lama. Dalida loved the song and made it her own -the same with "Avec le temps". Although both original versions are exquisite and Dalida being so amazing an artist, she made the songs hers. "Mourir sur scene" was written for her though by 2 then young composers who adored her (Michel Jouveaux and Jeff Barnel) but she certainly was not romantically involved with either of the 2.SHE WAS INCREDIBLE!
Thanks for the information. I will have to do some research on her songs. One of them was like that. I saw it in an interview after she died. I either have it on DVD or I read it online. She was Incredibly Talented. Would have love to have met her!
Hello, Dear! Thank you for your message. I think you are refering to the song "ciao amore ciao". Luigi Tenco -who wrote it and whom Dalida loved dearly in 1966-1967- killed himself when his song did not win the San Remo contest. It was reported that Dalida herself discovered the body and the shock was such that she consequently tried to kill herself too. Fortunately, she survived but....... My thoughts to a tragic beautiful woman who also was a Legend/ XXXX
Perhaps you are right. I have to look it up again. Yes so sad eventually she was sucessfull with the suicide. Her songs break me heart I understand the deisre for suicide, I have lived with it for many years. She was so so talented. XXX where are you from? NY?
The one u're talking about is called Cia amore and her husband was the italian guy that time. They sang the song and they didn't win, so he shot himself in his room

@rabbitears2006 What about Lara Fabian's version?
Aylinne2008 1 year ago
Elia586 1 year ago
@Elia586 Well.. yea. I felt something is not right, but I didn't know exactly what was about. I guess Lara is too much theatrical.
Aylinne2008 1 year ago
@Aylinne2008 yes dear, I think a singer, whatever his (or her) intensity of feelings musn't have to forget his position on the stage...which means: if I am an actor I have to act as an actor but, as a singer I must try to refrain my gestures and therefore concentrating into my voice...not forgetting not to make my words incomprehensible!
If I dare say, please, listen the Dalida version...if not the author Serge Lama one!
With them that "Chanson est mervelilleuse!"

wer can we find such an artist in those modern days?
wer can we find an artist on stage, owning the stage, becoming the wolrd for some time,
dalida owns the viewer, she simply own the soul and she cd simply make us cry, she makes us relate to her pain, even if the language she is singing is not understood..
she's amazing, and the thing the she decided to loose her life is because people no longer treated her as a human, they treated her as a godess, that was too painful to her

DALIDA lives forever because she is in the people's hearts. She entered our hearts and stayed there forever.

I think this song was written for her by her husban for a show and they at first they said they did not want the song in the show and Dalida told her husband that and then he killed himself it was either this song or Mourir sur Scene but I am pretty sure it was this song
rabbitears2006 2 years ago

Would have love to have met her!
rabbitears2006 2 years ago

NY?
rabbitears2006 2 years ago
The one u're talking about is called Cia amore and her husband was the italian guy that time. They sang the song and they didn't win, so he shot himself in his room

Thanks....what a stupid reason to shoot yourself! Thanks!
rabbitears2006 2 years ago
why do you say that she killed herself because she thought people were treating her like a godess, how do you know this?
