It could be a fake but I doubt it. The UFO was pretty close but I don't think an amateur would have the tech to make a perfect UFO fly by with the camera shake.

At the beginning of the video the object is off to the right but the camera is pointed forward, odd. Why didn't he turn around and film it leaving? I guess he had enough footage, might as well stop filming, right? The shadows of the trees fall to the left but the shadow of the object seems to fall almost straight below it as if the sun was directly over head, clearly inconsistent with the tree shadows. It is the little details that help spot hoaxes like this one but it is a good job.

This video is so fake it's insulting. First of all, if this were real, a human's natural reaction would be to stop the bike right when they saw the UFO. Second, at 16 seconds when it begins flying toward the bike, there is no shadow under the object until the last half of the seventeenth second when it is nearly out of the camera's view.

I do special effects with After effects and video editing with Final Cut pro for 8 years. With my knowledge in special effects I can which ones are fake and real. This video looks very real. like MadVoodoo, the video is shaky and to put a ufo over the video layer with the same exact shaking with Shadow moving in the air would be nearly impossible. The ones that are easy to fake are the ones with a sturdy camera.
This is in fact a tough one. One of the best things about it proving that it may be real is the cam is shaky as well is the UFO. To layer in a ufo that is also shaky along w/ the footage would be next to imposable

This one is easy to disprove based on the shadow. As it supposedly flies over, the shadow is almost directly under it, indicating near mid-day. The trees have shadows about as tall as the trees themselves, indicating a mid-morning or mid-afternoon time.

You know something. I try to dehoax a lot of shit. This one is not easy. Everyone pay particular attention to the detail on the ground of the cast shadow of the UFO. Blow up the vid to full size if you have to. That shadow, is very intriguing. I don't know if an novice can do that as well as this one.
..well you can simulate this scene by taking BumpMaps, applying shadowmap(soft) to the object, make sure the sun object is at the same time as the scene and VOILA...a fake video is done.
treasuredragon, one thing for sure, this is not a noobie job :). from the CG standpoint, it is VERY good indeed. almost perfect camera tracking/matchmmoving. and yes shadows on the ground is easily done with bump/displacement maps.

me and a bunch of friends were lying down watching the evening sky and we saw quite a number of 'stars' that moves, stops, zigzagging around, speds away. on closer inspection it look like a rugby ball and mercury-silver, very bright reflecting the sun maybe (early evening). these lasted for a week.
And as recent as 2001 i saw a wobbling point of light that change color (blue, red, white). Saw this atop 5 storey apartment building - a good few storeys higher than the roof. I estimated it about the size of a truck's headlight. very bright and fading in n out. when i whipped my cellphone out it vanish like shooting off while fading out its light/color. *shrugs*
yes sure. it look more like police siren light rather than natural cause - a steady change of color in sequence and it wobbles around. first thought it was from a helicopter (but it was so silent) and it was a very clear night anyway. and also ball-lightning (if that is what you're referring to) was not known to happen in my area)

I agree with this gentleman. All fakes have all the same trait that makes them fake - When a UFO is spotted in fakes, it flies somewhere near the sun or sky or horizon, generally away from the camera. Then (IN ALMOST ALL THE FAKES) the UFO zooms right over the person capturing it on his camera. How the fuk do you people figure a sophisticated E.I. will detect someone capturing it and fly right into the shot? Grow up, seriously. Stop the fakes, look for the truth.

This one is easy to disprove based on the shadow. As it supposedly flies over, the shadow is almost directly under it, indicating near mid-day. The trees have shadows about as tall as the trees themselves, indicating a mid-morning or mid-afternoon time.

You know something. I try to dehoax a lot of shit. This one is not easy. Everyone pay particular attention to the detail on the ground of the cast shadow of the UFO. Blow up the vid to full size if you have to. That shadow, is very intriguing. I don't know if an novice can do that as well as this one.

..well you can simulate this scene by taking BumpMaps, applying shadowmap(soft) to the object, make sure the sun object is at the same time as the scene and VOILA...a fake video is done.

treasuredragon, one thing for sure, this is not a noobie job :). from the CG standpoint, it is VERY good indeed. almost perfect camera tracking/matchmmoving. and yes shadows on the ground is easily done with bump/displacement maps.

quite fake. the UFO's shadow is kinda soft-edge and since sun cast uniform shadow it should be a bit sharper - compare them with the surrounding shadows

that is just what I was thinking..kind of :-)! I see that the sun is either to the right or somewhat behind the video person, so the shadow should have been more to the left and not under the thingy.

me and a bunch of friends were lying down watching the evening sky and we saw quite a number of 'stars' that moves, stops, zigzagging around, speds away. on closer inspection it look like a rugby ball and mercury-silver, very bright reflecting the sun maybe (early evening). these lasted for a week.

And as recent as 2001 i saw a wobbling point of light that change color (blue, red, white). Saw this atop 5 storey apartment building - a good few storeys higher than the roof. I estimated it about the size of a truck's headlight. very bright and fading in n out. when i whipped my cellphone out it vanish like shooting off while fading out its light/color. *shrugs*

yes sure. it look more like police siren light rather than natural cause - a steady change of color in sequence and it wobbles around. first thought it was from a helicopter (but it was so silent) and it was a very clear night anyway. and also ball-lightning (if that is what you're referring to) was not known to happen in my area)
