People always say VFX needs to be kept around for amusement and "material" to lampoon. This is definite proof that those-who-can really need to take LEGAL steps to permanently remove him from YouTube if this is at all possible--for his own good as well as ours.

True, true, dprjones, we must not be petty at this moment. I'm sure that vfx's family are wonderful, caring people. I would hope that the people who view your channel and others like jordanowen42 and andromedaswake, potholer54, cdk007, FFFreethinker, would never think of harming someone simply over a disagreement of or discourse to a user who may or may not have their parents consent. Why is everyone saying PCS needs help? What he needs is a bit of jail time. This has gone far beyond acting out of ignorance. He came into the grown ups discussion and couldn't handle it. He then broke INTERNATIONAL law! What he is doing right now is paramount to digital terrorism. The channels he has had shut down had value to those who created them. Time and effort, in some cases money. Quit it with the kid gloves and let the legal system do it's job. Screw councilling, he needs a wake up call

I would argue that the channels that aren't worth money are more valuable to us as a community. Those ads are a major concentration killer.
In any case, calling it digital terrorism might be going a little too far.
Baying for blood in the way you're doing might result in a sub-optimal result, and I hope that dpr pays little heed to the various opinions fielded in these comments. He'll know what to do, he's a smart cookie. Paying heed to YT comments may not be in everyone's best interests.

I meant that some people put their own money into the production of their videos. New cameras, software, etc. 200+ DMCA claims in 1 day? What would you call it? He's trying to silence people , not only through filing, but through the fear he might file on them. I don't usually swear, but PCS is a douchebag. He deserves what he gets. I was over this whole sordid affair after I watched Jordan's video. Then came the next wave of my subscriptions that had been suspended.Jail for PCS.

That should NOT be overlooked.

We have all known for some time that he has 'psycho' issues, but as admitted in the jordanowne Video, PCS only seems to realise that his videos have consequeces in the real world when threatened with realworld consequences.
PCS desrves no compassion, no understanding, he should face the courts. It is his only salvation. PCS is just like a drug addict, and until he is confronted with the real world realities of his actions he will continue as before.

Thank you DPR for asking for a moment of calm. Unfortunately, in a polarized situation, it tends to bring out the radicals on both sides, and the result is usually a blood bath. I applaude you for your stance, and your call for calm. Shawn deserves some compassion, because he likely does have a neurological condition driving him to do what he does. His condition, should it be diagnosed, is an explanation for his behaviour, but I cannot speak for all by suggesting it is an excuse for his behaviour. However, I can ask. Should his condition grant him a get-out-of-jail-free card? Does it absolve him of having to take responsibility for his actions? Should an example be made of him? If so, what will be gained?
