This guy got this 5 step approach from a guy in WI nick named Riggs. Riggs is the first one I've seen use the important fall off 5th step to the right. Once you master the 5th step like Riggs has then you can continue with the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th.......step to the right for the run out.

If that was supposed to be it, it was a poor effort. I do the 5 five approach as well, starting the approach and releasing when I slide with my right foot (yep, lefty).

It's not complicated. If you're taking a five step approach, you lead off with your slide foot, making that foot steps 1, 3 and 5. Derp. What you don't do is lead off with your other foot, and look positively retarded at release because your body is like "what the fuck are you left handed suddenly? No? the 4 step is the right foot first and the ball will already be moving in your swing.....

TO be correct, a 4 step approach for a right handed bowler, you start with the right foot first pushing the ball away at the same time. For a 5 step approach a right handed bowler starts with his/her left foot & delays the push away until the right foot steps forward. Either way the ball push away doesn't start until the right foot moves forward. For a left handed person it would be the left foot for the push away for either the 4 or 5 step approach. I hope this clears up this up any confusion

I have been struggling with the five step which I have used for years. I have started using the four step and have been able to keep my approach speed down but have lost some ball speed. Which is better? Just asking to see if there are any things I can be working on with either 4/5 approach.

How is this guy a professional in explaining this, he only goes 4 steps. In a 5 step approach, you start with the leg opposite to your bowling hand(leftie start with right leg, right handed start with the left leg) In a 4 step approach you start with the leg that is identical to your bowling hand.
