@xyang26 I believe this fish was released. It's a fiberglass replica made to the fishes dimensions. But you can get skin mounts which kill the fish (usually iced). But fiberglass mounts last so much longer :)
@xyang26 Sorry about this taking so long. It all depends on your mounting process. There are 2 types of fish mounts: skin mounts and reproductions "replicas". On a skin mount, you send the fish to your taxidermist and they skin your fish and fit it over a mannikin. They are very hard to make look natural and after awhile they deteriorate and lose color. A replica is just a fiberglass mold made from a real fish. A well made one is ultra lifelike and will last as long as you take care of it
it was a great fight. im proud to catch this at 21 years old. i actually read in mississippi game and fish that the second largest bass in MS was 15 lbs so that would put me in second if i had gotten it documented

@juverlopez13 thanks, my wife is actually horrified of fish so it amazed me that she let me put it in the livingroom but the bluegill was 6 inches long and the bass was close to 28 inches
Very awesome mount

I'm not familiar with mounting fishes but does the fish get release afterward, eaten, taken away, or just die?

LOL! You got the Brim in backward. Usually Bass swallows head first! But it looks nicer like that though. :)
