I remember vividly when "Music Box" was released; Mariah Carey was already a superstar, and this album sealed her status as a legend. It was one of those albums everyone bought and talked about; as many critics have noted, every single song (all 10) could easily have hit #1 as a single. It's really a perfect album (although "Hero" was ruined for me b/c it was overplayed on radio).

If you only know the current, hip/hop Mariah, give "Music Box" as a go and you'll see why she ruled the 90's.
