My stuff was dismissed and sexual harrasment charges dropped, but the diff was I happened to be in iraq at the time and a few wks lata my bn cdr received a threating letter about me and they had to send me home. Nobody cares if you're gay in the military. It's when you start throwing it in people's face that it becomes a problem. I don't tell people the things I like to do to women, so you don't need to let me know what you like. I know a man in the military who is gay. He seemed to like it. I don't know much about the military myself, but it seems the real problem comes not from the other soldiers (who seem cool with it), but the DADT legislation. I hope it gets repealed in the lame duck session in December. Fingers crossed!
I am against gay's in the military, having served in the Navy for 14 years. It has nothing to do with religion, prejudice or hate. The reason is that our society in practice is so sexually focused that it causes as much problems as it would if straight men and women bunked together which is what would happen in the military. I am all for it in the right forum, which is not that gays should serve but all able people should be able to serve together.

Personally I am all for gays in the military as long as they put all the women and men together so we all have something to look at. The main problem is this. If I 'feel' harassed by a homosexual in my berthing I can sue the military for not providing me adequate quarters. When I worked for TSA a female who was gay was put in a hotel room with three women who were straight and made 'comments' which turned into a lawsuit.
I would have been brought up sexual harrassment charges If I were still in the military when you were in because you are one hot piece of ass to pass up and you know I love you already.

i was in the air force. while i was in basic, the dude that was in charge of our flight (big brother flight) was gay. the military don't trip about gay ppl. in korea, the gay shit is blatant. at ft. meade (NSA) the army ladies are openly gay. i even worked wit a gay cat and we were friends. they don't trip at all. shout outs to the sat-com troops.
I'm in the Army and I have no problem serving with gays. Only thing I complain about is there are very little women to go around to begin with. But when you add lesbians to the mix, that's two females automatically out of the dating equation. But I just toss it up to the game.

Dayum gurl! You give hope! I asm 98Golf, way back before the wall came down, and my language was Russian. They made a habit out of looking in my corps for the gay types back then and ousting us. I did get an honorable "failure to adapt" while I was still in my year and 1/2 long AIT. Most of my group knew I was gay. Even 2 different guys I shared a barraks room with. And honestly? they did not give a care!

I'm a product of a military lifestyle so I understand the contradicting rulings because my dad is an army veteran and i plan to go to the airforce soon after i get my degree but i would like to know the whole process of having a dependent with you on base without being related or married? please explain that concept for me if possible.

Nobody cares if you're gay in the military. It's when you start throwing it in people's face that it becomes a problem. I don't tell people the things I like to do to women, so you don't need to let me know what you like. It's simple really, keep your lifestyle to yourself, don't be the kid jumping up and down clamoring for attention. Don't go hitting on people telling them "just try it." You will get hit in the face. Keep your business to yourself and nobody will care.

I know a man in the military who is gay. He seemed to like it. I don't know much about the military myself, but it seems the real problem comes not from the other soldiers (who seem cool with it), but the DADT legislation. I hope it gets repealed in the lame duck session in December. Fingers crossed!

I am against gay's in the military, having served in the Navy for 14 years. It has nothing to do with religion, prejudice or hate. The reason is that our society in practice is so sexually focused that it causes as much problems as it would if straight men and women bunked together which is what would happen in the military. I am all for it in the right forum, which is not that gays should serve but all able people should be able to serve together.

Personally I am all for gays in the military as long as they put all the women and men together so we all have something to look at. The main problem is this. If I 'feel' harassed by a homosexual in my berthing I can sue the military for not providing me adequate quarters. When I worked for TSA a female who was gay was put in a hotel room with three women who were straight and made 'comments' which turned into a lawsuit.

i was in the air force. while i was in basic, the dude that was in charge of our flight (big brother flight) was gay. the military don't trip about gay ppl. in korea, the gay shit is blatant. at ft. meade (NSA) the army ladies are openly gay. i even worked wit a gay cat and we were friends. they don't trip at all. shout outs to the sat-com troops.

Dayum gurl! You give hope! I asm 98Golf, way back before the wall came down, and my language was Russian. They made a habit out of looking in my corps for the gay types back then and ousting us. I did get an honorable "failure to adapt" while I was still in my year and 1/2 long AIT. Most of my group knew I was gay. Even 2 different guys I shared a barraks room with. And honestly? they did not give a care!

from a male stand point (i dont wanna know what anyone does in there bedrooms and i dont want anyone to anounce what they do either). Being a gay male in the military is like me being a stright male and being allowed to join an all female unit. Would that make other female soldiers uncomfortable? yes. So why is it so hard to believe that guys dont want gays men in there unit. if your in some hell hole of a country, the last thing you need is drama and distractions.

That is some BS....call you out for being in a gay club when he was there too...lol I too served in the military from 1995-2003. I am a straight female, but I didn't have a problem serving with gay soldiers, male or female. I don't see the that it affects how you perform as a soldier. However, I would be affraid for some of my friends if they did away with don't ask don't tell...simply because it is still a "MAN's" Army. Love your vid's btw.
