  • Man, I get SO pissed when I realize there's no DVD of this show, and the only place that had the entire show available was YouKu (chinese Youtube), but unfortunately it's no longer there either. I can't find the entire gig ANYWHERE no the internet. Where did you get it? Thanks for posting!!! :)

  • words escape me.

  • Phone food ahhh yea.

  • im eating noodles

  • bela kills it

  • dave guardala stuido.....

  • 6:12 These guys are so awesome, they can just hump their instrument and get away with it...

  • 7:27 bella fleck is the only human who can tell victor wooten over. This is my absolute favorite song its just the greatest combonation of elements performed so well.

  • Coffin makes the Sax speak. Damit.

  • How about getting some actual lenses for the glasses, huh?

  • In w hat tune is victor bass ?

  • @tomaspepino I think he might just be in Drop D

  • yeah, i learn it :D, is one of my favorite grooves i have learned.

    and is soo simple xD

  • Bella Fleck is the best Banjo player ever, Jeff Coffin is the best Sax player, Victor Wooten is the best bass player, and obviously Future Man is the best at that thing..

  • This song is magical and I strongly believe it can be the cure for many deadly diseases. Thank you Flecktones, for your awesomeness !

  • tony trisckha ,see what you did , thank you

  • Who knew the bhagavad gita could be so funky

  • ohhh shit I never knew that lick in jeff coffin's solo in number 41 came from this song.... crazy

  • @Musician0at0Work You should really look into more Flecktones stuff. Awesome stuff.

  • @Musician0at0Work When DMB and the Flecktones perform together, they often do #41 into Sojourn of Arjuna. Pure brilliance to watch live.

  • God bless the Belgian folk for their great contribution to the jazz/blues world with the muthafucking Saxophone

  • haha this is amazing, every time i swear it gets better

  • my head exploded form the awesomeness.

  • Just feels right

  • love this song

  • 8 people have NO clue...

  • This entire song is ecstasy on acid. I could listen to them solo off of this song for hours.

  • All this selection needs is a better title! Otherwise it is close to perfection!

  • hey check out my attempt of this song playing the guitar upside down :)

  • Flecktones are coming back to my town. Can hardly wait. These guys can play it straight or improvise like nobody's business.

  • So tight man

  • Did DMB cover or sample part of this song?

  • @AUPilot3 Yeah, every time I hear DMB play #41 now days they always bust out with this melody. It doesn't dot the awesomeness of this song justice but its still nice to hear them incorporate some Flecktones in there arrangements.

  • @AUPilot3 During long jam sessions of #41 since 2008 they slip in Soujourn of Arjuna in the middle

  • I've finally decided that these guys are this generation's King Crimson. Perhaps a bit far fetched, but it's closer than calling J Beib Mick Jagger.

  • @RobertELee01 I've always preferred to think of Tool as this generation's King Crimson. Either them or Primus. Long live the SCV Robert E. Lee!

  • where's Victor's solo?

  • This, is a masterclass in how to perform live!

If anyone cannot hear the musicianship going on in this, I feel sorry for them!

    BF & F forever!

  • 7 jonas brothers fan deslikes it

    hell..

  • Hope to hear this at SummerCamp!

  • so much talent

  • out of this world

  • Ils ont maîtrise parfaite de leurs instruments. Regardez l'impro' Question/Réponse.

  • My god Jeff Coffin can fucking wail.

  • those motherfuckers stole that sax lick from the movie "And Justice For All"! FUCKING LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fasteryoda you're fucking retarded...these motherfuckers? this is bela fleck and the flecktones, one of the best bands alive today, have some respect

  • @fasteryoda yeeeeaaaah....

    *they're* the losers

  • @fasteryoda They are so big loosers, thats why they are on stage playing for the entire world, when ur down in ur basement jerking off to your bestfriends mom.

  • what this "warrior"NEEDS ISA GUITAR,KINDA LIKE LENNY BREU.

  • This is pure gold. This whole band. That song specially, such a nice and mellow groove! Dude, do you have any idea of where I can get/download the whole concert video? I love this show, but I never can watch it in its entirety, I there´s nowhere to buy it here in Rio. Only the Live at Quick, if so.

  • I see 5 against this video... how can you not like it ? true originality.... awesome musicianship.... no wild dancers, playing their own instruments, no prerecorded b@#$&t....

  • Arjuna!!!! great music and great legend!!!

  • its on a victor wooten solo album called "what did he say?"

  • I am just getting into the Fleckstones. Which album is this song on?

  • @princedavid0 it's left of cool

  • i love that mellow tone of the electric banjo. sounds much better with the style this group plays than acoustic banjos. its blends better and doesn't stick out as much.

  • JAY RADHE! JAY KRSNA!

  • lol.. "phone food"?.. other than that the performance is flawless

  • My dream is see it alive!

  • Love the sound of that horn. Would see Jeff Coffin play anyday!

  • saw these guys as a 16 year old at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2002....opened up my world

  • Amazing stuff... makes me want to learn how to play the saxophone.

  • LoVE this!!!

  • man, as far as musicianship goes these days, this group is the single best group of super talented musicians this world has to offer right now.

  • Crowd just sits and claps.

  • so theres this cat named arjuna

  • love it when the dmb incorporates this into 41

  • @TheVolganaut

    TRUE THAT

    DMB!!!!

  • "Cook some good phone-- food!" xD

  • Wow, what an amazing song this is! Coffin's Sax makes the track!

  • the sax by Jeff in the beginning reminds me of Moore more than any time I've heard him play with DMB

  • got the soul

  • most definitely

  • @derekbarnes8806 totally agree... weird how that works.

  • Anybody know if this particular version was released on CD (DVD)?

  • yes, this song is included in a cd but i can't remmember what it is :( but this version is 1000 times better

  • It's on "Left of cool". My question was if this particular concert was released on DVD. To my knowledge it wasn't.

I agree. It's 1000 better than the studio version.

  • The name of the tune is "Frontiers".... listen to Jeff's Solo.

  • I've got to disagree with Krausz18, Jeff is a straight ahead jazz player in practice, He has adapted to DMB in their style. He can play the most intricate jazz compositions, and has great improv skills. Check out the tune live at bonnaroo for example.

  • I say if you want to hear Coffin's Jazz compositions, look up "The Mad Hatter Rides Again". That's pure jazz, right there.

  • Incredible band

  • Great fucking song.

  • Been following this band since the beginning..1990 when I was 16...have bought all their albums....my fav band of any genre. Extremely under appreciated by mainstream for the most part....Ive had the honor of discovering about very early and have been enjoying their music since..The MOST interesting group i've ever heard especially their early albums with Howard Levy.

  • Wooten is the sickest bass player! The Flecktones are amazing.

Too bad most people aren't willing to be active listeners of music. Only then can one appreciate a band like this.

  • Jeff is unreal with DMB!!

  • hes awesome, but DMB does not sound the same without leroi. completely different sound.

  • Oh I completely agree. Jeff has a different style then roi and that's the main difference. Roi was jazz based and coffin is more rock. The band has definatly changed a bit to incorporate Jefs rock style instead of that jazz sax in roi but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. They still sound awesome!

    RIP LEROI

  • I miss the ol days.

  • jeff coffins with dave matthews band now and hes doin a hell of a job. I got to see him live with them and he did work on the sax

  • Way way way way cool! After listening to pop/rock this morning, this beats all!

  • One of the most important enlightenments in my recent life

  • Hell yea. Real music, real people. Boycott commercial music.

  • YES!!! You get it my friend! :D

  • @alexdorris Real music, real people yes. But all music is commercial. If it wasn't you couldn't make a living off of music, and no one would play. If we didn't have commercial music, the best musicians would have get daytime jobs and could only play in bars and such

  • @safetymonkey42 I know that, I make my living solely off music. I mean music aimed only at emulating current fads in order to tap into whatever market, with the art of it as a secondary (at best) consideration. Of course I don't think all musicians should play for free, they'd have no time to write this great music if they had to work a normal job. A vague and subjective comment, I know.

  • @safetymonkey42 True, but what people mean when they accuse music of being commercial, is that it is geared to sell first and foremost, not to be art...

  • Has to be one of the most fascinating bands of 90's and ->

  • Is Victor playing this in drop-D ?

  • Jazz like this I could listen to for hours...

  • The sax at 2:45-3:10 is beautiful. Simply soothing to the ears

  • that duel really is incredible. i wish i could hear all those lines and play them first try.

like at 6:10 ... bela didnt get al the notes, but DAMN it was good for a first try. im going to work that out now.

  • i don't know whether i prefer bela's style of soloing during this song when he goes off key or jeff coffin who sticks to the key

    either way, they're both great

  • i know what you mean. some of belas stuff is just soo on point tho. when he goes off on some of those major tangents in the duel, its kind of werid... idk.. it could hit the spot a little more. i think he knows exactly how to do it too, but he is just one really creative dude. hes always doing new things, even if it doesnt sound appealing.

  • it's true - jeff coffin is basically just more traditional - he sticks to what a jazz teacher would tell his student to play - bela being the opposite/different

  • I see at as both things being good, both being parts of a conversation. Bela is taking it 'out there' and Jeff is reeling it back in.... Communication at its best! :D

  • 4 Catz...Bass,Sax,What the Hell Was That Thing(oh itz drumz),Banjo With Midi??? WOW!!!! This Song Got Me Goin'....Listen to the Drum Sounds....Only A Wooten Could Come Up With That Kinda Stuff...Relax & Enjoy!!!!Comments Please!!!!Celtic Funk!!!!

  • Wonderful! All teh clips you uploaded are very nice. Great music. Congratulations!

  • someone please tell me what is that thing that the singer plays!! pleaase tell mee

  • its the drumitar, its a midi controller. he invented his. what futureman does is presses buttons to make drums noises.

just so you know he's not their singer, they are instrumental :)

  • He has done some singing for them before, though. Look up "Let Me Be The One" to see Futureman lay down some funky vocals.

  • thanks for the info, i just know Bela Fleck but i already love their music
