@technotronic2008, I have just done the Mcguire Programme. I am speaking slowly and yes, it does sound out of the ordinary a bit. but at least I'm in control of the stammer, instead of the stammer controlling me. After a while, you build it up and speak a lot more fluently. Believe me, the instructors on the course sound so fluent now that you wouldn't know they had a stammer at all. It just takes time and practice.
Dont get depressed mate. Why not do something about it? The guy in the video is a member oif the mcguire progamme. Im also in it. Check out their website (google for it) If you need any info then let me know
I appreciate your honest comment and it is a valid observation, however remember that this is just on the third day and it is public speaking, through working on the technique you are able to aim for fluency as well as eloquence.
Though personally, I would much rather be able to say what I want whenever I wanted then to return to how I was, the course truly has changed my life and made me so much more positive.
Where are you and how much you paid for the program? I am in China and I joined a stutter treatment program as well, but somehow i got only better off for the days i just finished, while got speak disordereda again afterwards. there are still certain words which frightened me.. I am confused and lost....
well done. i did mcguire, but someone close to me died and came back, i did it again, but at exam times it came back. it wasn't a longterm solution for me.
Intresting to compare and contrast the same techniques to food, brands, cost and lifestlyes. Did you find the culture, feedback and aftercare the same or would you compare that to a brand of car?
NICE ONE MATE! I went to the starfish project a few weeks ago to help control my stammer, which is exactly like Mcguire project. I learned how to Costal breath, and how to control my stammer, it helped me a real lot. You improved alot m8. Nice one. :)
well done daniel!!! Im a primary coach and course instructor intern in Edinburgh (but from Ireland!!:)) and got a call from you a while back. I didnt know how bad you were pre McGuire but am very proud that you worked and are still working hard on your speech. Fair play to ya and talk soon. Padraic
You are a superstar. Thank you for posting your videos online. Im going to do the same as soon as I bloody get mine. Thanks for sharing a room with me and passing on your knowledge. It was a honour to meet you and sorry for climbing into bed with you....haha!! :)
hi daniel, what progression mate, you are the perfect example that the mcguire programme can help us who stammer, brillant mate, was a pleaasure to watch this video and see the improvement and was an even bigger pleasure to actually meet with you and work with you. Hope to hear and see you on future programmes mate. daniel bingham
is this mcguire programme free?, I'm telling ya, some people really take advantage of the needy, there's this guy on the net, he's selling notes, just notes on how to help your stammer, for something like a hundred quid, they have no conscience
Good man Daniel, certainly not holding back by putting up your video. I'm nearly a year on the course now myself. Totally changed my life too, hopefully your video will help under stammerer's hear about the programme.
Well done. watching your video was great, i'm a year off my first course (Dublin, Feb,2007) and the MGP has changed my life! Keep up the good work! Tara
@technotronic2008
yes but think about it, this new way of breathing gives him control of something that has controled him.
