shove your hand in the corner of the fitted sheet (once you figure out which end is up) and hold your hand on the corner of the mattress as you wrap the sheet corner around the mattress. If the elastic is good and buried under the bottom of the corner, then you have your anchor! lol

Getting mine on my mattress is a pain b/c my bed is against the corner of my bedroom...so I HAVE to start at that far corner first and shove it down b/n the bed and the wall... :-P
