I was blessed 2 c the TNT tour n 84. 1000 seat venue, row 12 isle seat. started with this tiny white guy hunched over walking out 2 the dir. stand. He started the band playing light classical. I did a dbl chk of the tickets. about 10 minutes in I heard that unmistakable Funk bros. bass line. By the time the tiny humped over white guy got straghitend out it was on. He blew the doowaa out of the trumpet & the 30+ piece band was wide open, out came the temps and tops, 3 hrs n hvn then 1 hr encorer

this aint the real temps. sure it has the name and otis and melvin and im not really sure if thats dennis edwards. but really the temps are just the original temps and dennis edwards. without paul, eddie, and david you cant call the group the temptations. when they sang davids parts with my girl was pretty bad. the singer from the 4 tops sang it better then the temptations singer

Dennis took David Ruffin's place. He came in right before the 70's started with Cloud Nine. David is well known for the classics in the 60's. Now only Otis is still living. They have a Melvin Franklin Estate also when these copy groups come up saying they are the Temptations - they get sued by the estate like what happened to Dennis. He can only use "The Tempation Revue" , not The Tempations. That name is owned.

i'm only 26, so this was way before my time, but I am so glad I found this video. It's amazing how many hits these guys had.

They are all true classics. Anybody who doesnt like this is not only deaf to good music but also has no sense of what is cool. These guys were fuckin smooth; one of the coolest things I've ever seen.I hope motown never dies out completely, but I'm afraid it will because most young people dont appreciate music like this anymore,it's a travesty!think i'll watch again!

When this show came on, everyone was excited to see the old groups back together. Diana Ross hadn't sung with the Supremes in years. Michael Jackson did the old hits with his brothers before wowing the world with his Billie Jean. You had Stevie and Smokey and Berry Gordy in the mezzanine loving it all. But for me, THIS will always be the epicenter of the show, the best of it all, everything wonderful with Motown compressed into six minutes.
