  • Awesome! :o)

  • Can you tell me what prelude this is??

  • Nice Organ!

  • do you think you hair is long enough

  • Wow... you did that yourself???!!! That's incredible!! Also very well done on playing!!! How long did it take you to make that?

  • RIP headphone users.

  • I can actually play the beginning of that piece myself, but there's no bass pedals here!

  • Me gusta mucho, suena muy bien

  • it needs to be tuned a little

  • Do you have any drawings, diagrams or techical information on the net somewhere about this organ?

  • @hartleymartin Only the couple of other videos I've posted. I left enough there to show how I'm making the various parts. Sorry, I don't have any dimensions, I just "eyeball" everything. I searched youtube and any web pages I could find on homemade pipe organs and gleaned what I liked the best. The keyboard I laid out with the same measurements as my piano.

  • 0:34 PLZ c ^^

  • @MegaDani141 I got no idea what this means

  • @vslslr She should play an c not an c# ;)

  • @MegaDani141 Yes you're right, but it doesn't really matter on this instrument...

  • @vslslr He means: The left hand should play a C instead of C# at 0:34! :)

  • Prelude in G Minor! Love that piece!

  • If you did all this without help it's wonderful, and if you had help that's wonderful too. Credit goes to you and all those who have nurtured your confidence and provided you with the means to follow through with your remarkable intentions.

The pipes could be cut slightly sharp and small rolled sheet metal "sardine can" tuners attached to the top for more precise tuning. In a few years you could work for a pipe organ builder. You're already off to a great start.

  • @Erik3harps Thanks for the nice compliments.

  • so long hair :)

  • Oh look it's Rapunzel! she's playing the organ!

  • Wonderful little organ. Please give some credit to the talented and beautiful organist.

  • there some mistakes, and the pedal is missing, but realy good ^^

  • nice.. but u should get it tuned...

  • Well, the tuning it must be a bit better. But is very nice work, godd small organ.

  • That was awesome

  • Nice video and nice organ, great. This is the g-moll prelude taken from the eight little preludes and fugues. The authorship of JSB about this collection is doubtful.

  • Thanks for the information on authorship.

  • Is there any delay in how long it takes from when you press the key to when the pipe sounds?

  • nice nice ;)

  • where is the air compressor? :O

  • i am your biggest fan i admire your work you my friend are a true genies.and that girl has a pure talent.

  • Really nice organ! So, how does it work? I'm guessing when you push a key, that opens a solenoid/manifold and allows air through? I want to try building an organ.

  • @LNERMallard

Thank you. I have a couple of other videos posted showing how it works. I tried to make this organ as simple as a could, no electric solenoids or anything.

  • BWV 558

  • What is the name of this score?

  • The sheet music only says "Prelude by Bach". I wish I knew more.

  • @hidemichiXT

Prelude from Prelude und Fugue g-minor, BWV 558

  • @hidemichiXT it is the prelude in G from the little preludes and fugues by Bach

  • @hidemichiXT This is the Prelude in G minor from the 8 little preludes and fugues. They were initially attributed to Bach, but more likely by Johann Ludwig Krebs.

  • what kind of pipes are in it

  • @tys430

I think these would be called flue pipes

  • Lovely sound. Have you thought of adding bass pedals?

  • It does need foot pedals. I'll see how I feel after finishing the last octave that the organ needs.

  • It appears that more of us have built these than one would think! I'm glad to see your video.

  • Thanks. It is facinating to hear the pipes sing. Even though I know how they work and even built them, it still amazes me that they work.

  • Great! I'll be waiting most impatiently for the next progress vid.

  • Wow, impressive! I'd love to see (and hear) more, don't stop working on it!

  • Fantastic progress !!

  • Nice progress! It looks and sounds like you have a good organist who can play for the dedication concert when the organ is completed and all of the tuning and voicing meets your expectations.

  • Expectations are funny. When I first started this, I believed I would be happy with just about any sound. Now I'm getting picky and bugged by the variations in tone quality of my crude pipes. The smallest (C#5 and up) are more "breathy" than the others, the the largest are slower to sound, etc... I never would have believed I could distinguish all this. I'm learning alot.
