Michael's most valuable performance came in 2005, when he finished 3rd in the Championship, driving a TOTAL pile of crap. I hated him in 1990's for what he did. But since e.g. 2001, he is incomparably more mature (I actually see Monaco 2006 and Hungary 2010 as on the edge, not obvious bad intentions). And he definitely is, paradoxically, a team guy (although he usually RECEIVED team support rather than GAVE in the past). He is old and for his age, he delivers EXCELLENT performance. A Senna fan
You said "Senna did so much great races without a even a good car..."
Well, I think that Schumi has done more than anybody from this point of view. Finished 2nd while using the 5th gear only in 1994, coming back from 16th to 1st in Spa in 1995 with the Benetton which was clearly slower than the Williams.
Wining 3 GP with the Ferrari in 1996 which was rubbish. etc
@SchumiSutil Senna won races and qualified on pole in non-dominant (the best) and sometimes even incompetitive (among the best) cars more than anybody, ever. What he did in 1992-1993, winning 8 races out of 32 in a piece of shit, compared to the UNBEATABLE Williams. His 15 pole positions in 1985-1986 in THAT car (LOOK AT HIS TEAMMATES - AND E.G. JOHNNY DUMFRIES WAS A SUPERB DRIVER, LOOK AT HIS 1984 BRITISH FORMULA 3 TITLE WITH 10 WINS AND HIS 1988 24 HRS LE MANS WIN!!!) His Monaco performance...
@SchumiSutil When you thoroughly analyse the 41 Grands Prix Michael and Ayrton shared, you see that in 1992-93, Michael had a better car (1992 comparable performance and higher reliability, 1993 higher performance and lower reliability). Senna's average grid position in 1992-93 was 3.28, Schumacher's 4.15. Ayrton's avg race pos 92-93 2.88, MS's 2.33. Still, in those two years, AS managed 8 wins and 2 poles, Michael 2 wins and 0 poles. Actually, Michael had NO POLES while Ayrton was still alive.
People always like to compare Ayrton with Schum and most of their opinion is based on wrong evidences.
Now that's prove Senna was better than Schumacher...Senna did so much great races without a even a good car...(I cannot even quote them here because there is no space for it but just 2 examples: Intelagos 1991 Senna kept a good time lap using just the 2º and the 6º gear////Donington Park 1993 great race in the rain)
Did you see what Michael did with a regular car?Not even a podium this year
This is so stupid what you're saying. How can you judge Schumi from his 2010 season ? Coming back at 41 after 3 years out. Just imagine Senna coming back in 2001 after 3 years out with complete different cars, groove tyres, etc. He wouldn't have been on top, that's for sure. It's simply humanly impossible.
@SchumiSutil In 2001, Senna WOULD be on top - with a Ferrari, definitely - with a McLaren or a Williams, possibly. He WAS humanly impossible, everything he did was extreme - his driving, his emotions, his thinking, his training. He was a more intense human than usual, in every way. That's why many people say he sort of "radiated". He was "magic". Actually, Senna would be VERY CLOSE to the top even TODAY. Put him in a Red Bull, Ferrari or McLaren and he'd be right there with MW, FM, JB.
@MrAlwayswins Yeah of course but i think that his record of points wouldnt be beated if the point sistem hadnt change. This guys was epic u know ? We all saw what he was able to do is a shame that this year he dont have a good car and 41 in the back man he's a god for drive a f1 car with this age i really respect him for this
Very modest guy, i like Michael Schumacher but i think his f1 days are over!! (I.M.O) + hes got the like of button, hamilton, petrov, alonso etc. very fast aggressive drivers. 2010 is going to be a great season for mercedes.

The Schumacher era, is over. New records will take over Schumacher's name -- and this year will prove that.
