  • GREAT CAR, man! Sold it some years a go with tears...

  • like !

  • Nice, shame about those old US spec bumpers that make it look like a fair ground dodgem car.

  • your car looks beautiful, my dad is about to give me his current Nissan Tsuru, and buy himself a 92' Peugeot 505 Evolution, he has always loved that car, but he'll buy the Manual Transmission version of it with a Gas engine, also 2.0L, what a nice car D:

  • It's a real shame that your ex-car got rear-ended. It was beautiful. Mi padre had an example with the exact same interior as yours. It was a petrol 2 liters SR. One step under the GTi.

  • une 505 aux états unis ! excellent !

  • @xyz30200 il en a été vendu aux états-unis

    mais ça n'a pas duré

il y a encore quelques taxis

  • @xyz30200 ce modèle a été commercialisé aux états unis mais sans succès

  • i have one... is that a cruise control?

  • Oh man,my condolences.I'd still be wearing a mourning veil(and I'm a guy).First car was my mom's handed down 505.If any car has a soul,it had one you could talk to.Makes sense-it was so solid it felt eternal.

  • love it, i've a 405grtd with 251,000 miles on the clock

  • I had a 505 ti years ago, paid £73 for it,used it for a couple of years 2litre injection auto, one hell of a drive I loved it and miss it to this day. Some cars leave their mark and this was one.

Shame this one came to a sad end.

  • Sorry to hear about your accident. I remember seeing these new back in the 80's. It seemed that people who owned them were not typical midwesterners. But I loved the 505's lines! The turbodiesel intrigued me as well.

  • wow I always loved the Peugeot 505's I had an obsession with those when I was a teenager back in the mid 80's. Probably the only teen that knew what one was or even wanted one. wow this one was in good condition for the age. I'd love to have one totally restored. I am sorry it was rearended..what a tragedy for this car. wow there are not many around. I know it made you sick. Some folks I once knew said it was the best riding and driving car they had ever ever owned.

  • Unfortunately, this car was rear-ended not too long ago :( The guy wasn't paying attention and just slammed into the back... he was texting on his cell phone when it all happened. Insurance won't pay the car off, because parts are so hard to come around and the cost to repair would've exceeded the cost of the car itself.

Strangely enough, I now own a Jetta GLI... lol I miss my Peugeot though....

  • Very sorry to hear that. I've owned nothing but 505s since '82 and currently have 5 on the road, two project cars and three parts cars. About 3 years ago, my wife & I were on the interstate when a semi + 53' trailer drifted into our lane, hitting us just aft of the B pillar, driver side, slewing us infront of him, then into the grassy, gullied median. I recovered control of the car JUST as we penetrated the opposite direction lanes, which were then full of semis. Story continues . . .

  • Story continues. We were miraculously unscathed, but our 87 turbo S 5 spd in mint condition was deemed a write-off. It was 100% his fault (charges laid) but I do not carry collision on a car that old. Nevertheless, my insurance company stepped up to the plate and paid me $5K to get my car fixed, which I did, and it has been great ever since. Needless to say, I am not about to change insurance companies!

  • @ak91182 man I am soo sorry about this..My mom got got rear ended in her 505 too...She got it fixed but the car never ran the same...So sorry!

  • @ak91182 that man should be shot. peugeots are very rare in america. that's too bad.:(

  • @ak91182 : Thats sad. The 505 is a great wehicle and i myself drive a petrol version of it. A 2.0L stationwagon from 1983. On mine the only thing not working is the clock.

  • @ak91182 I'm all in tears reading this.

  • Appreciate that 80 horsepower! I have a 1980 505SD (no turbo) and its has 70!

  • congratulations for your 505...i have one but is the stx 2.8 V6 5 speed manual and i love it,it's one of the best cars ever.

  • Purée superbe et superbement entretenue ta 505 turbo diesel !!

    Impressionnant même !!

Félicitations compatriote de Polynésie tu en as de la chance ^^

  • 3:47 "looking for a Jetta?" fuck no i gotta Peugeot! haha its funny we also had a Jetta. xD

  • we had one when i was very young but the starter started to go and this was the late 90's when your parts for it had to be imported. also considering the difficulty of working on them caused us to sell it. now im 15 and i have an '83 benz turbo diesel which is awesome but it would be great to also still have our '83 505. they are the two best diesel sedans ever made after all.

  • dude your car is so clean

what fuel do you use in the states? biodiesel or normal diesel

    greetings from a 504 owner

  • sweet sweet sweet car i was driving my p505 GL year 1982 green color very heavy on petrol and wen i sow this video i remember the sweet days with sun roof and 2front electric windows oh god thanx for the video man!

  • Volkswagen jetta on the radio :D:D

  • This is one of my most favorite cars! There is one just down my street!

  • let me know if you ever want to sell it... !!!

  • 1st of all where did you find this car?! Its unbelievable!I More vids plsI bought a 81 505 TD 10yrs ago from the original owners...Mine was the came color as yours but mine had an olive green interior...Mine was not the S model so i had manual windows, locks and no sunroof...Mine was a 5spd and I remember I could run 85mph all day and the glovebox held a 12 pack of beer (yes I was in college) and I also hid "other items" behind the false horn cover in the center of the steering More vids please!

  • I liket that car so much. Very confortable.

  • Nice! You have a 505 turbodiesel with automatic transmission! On my 504 video the brown one on the beginning it's a 82 with same options than yours except the AC. Sunroof doesn't work neither :D

I took the engine out of that one for my superRARE 504 Dangel 4x4 wagon 85. Just keep good care of your nice 505. Ps: My 504 does 0-60mph about little under 8secs :D

  • Off course, I did something about the rusting problems 2 years ago now, my car was partly restaurated, and is now protected quite well against the rust.!!

  • Nice video!! In Holland were left only 248 Peugeot 505´s last year!! I do have an automatic Gti version (first generation) with 285000 kilometers on the clock now. This is 177128 miles (approx) I bought it in september 2004, and it´s a rusty car, but so very smooth in handling and very nice in driving as well!! Hope you will keep us informed about your experiences! Best regards from the Netherlands!!

  • @gti505 Hoi! Hoe gaat het ? lol That's a lot of miles! You're right - the car can be the biggest rust bucket, but it will still drive very smoothly and handle very well, that only Peugeot owners could understand :) I'll make more vids soon :)

  • Very cool. I saw a car like this at my schools campus once, but the body was rough and looked like it was sitting in the bottom of a lake for years.

  • @Fordguy02 Thanks for the comment! Not too many of these cars around these days :)
