reggeton is like rap. you have to keep in mind to count the 4 beats but almost in every song there is "always" a change in the sound or somthing after the 8 beats. to mix this kind of music it is more helpful that the track mixing with the one going

on is to make a loop of 4 or more prferible of 8 and mix them with the other one.

This isnt as big in SoCal as it is on the east coast. You are thinking of Mariachi style band music. The SoCal Chicano culture is alot different from the east coast Hispanic culture.
