  • 90 people also play cards with J.D. Shellnut.

  • That drunk driving scene made it feel a little to "funny" to have been put in the final cut. As funny as the movie can be, its not really supposed to be. Great movie though.

  • That's the great 60's rock drummer Mickey Jones playing with this band and Ian Moore, the great guitarist from Austin, Texas is there also. They cut a scene out of the finished movie where Doyle and Vaughan and Carl go to the liquior store and meet the cops who know they're drunk, but let 'em go. It's cold when the cop tells Doyle to make sure the cripple doesn't fall out. Cop says: "You ain't driving drunk, are you Doyle?" And Doyle says: "Yeah, pretty much." Only in Arkansas.

  • 1:04 is funny

  • He still plays like 200x better than me! lol

  • I love the way John Ritter gets up from the chaise lounge to go to get beer and booze...Like he is so pissed off...funny shit!!!

  • someone should have taken a kaiser blade to that sum bitch, doyle! oh yeah, carl did later on in the movie. Lol! and yes, dwight yoakim stole this movie hands down. fantastic film, hands down!

  • i play cards with jd shelman!! chief of po lice!! haha

  • You ain't drunk drivin' are ya Doyle?

    Yeah, pretty much.

  • diddnt know yo sammity sam lived next door

  • I got some words for this anybody wanna here em lol

  • Vaughan sounds like one of Matt Stone's characters from South Park.

  • Second best scene in movie history

  • Oh my, I feel like I just watched my dad in W. Virginia....

  • They aint got no fuckin microphone!

  • Freakin' AWESOME band!!!!!!!

  • you gotta play through it.......i told you you gotta play through it

  • Apparently 0 people play cards with J.D. Shellnutt. HA!

  • GET THE FUCK OUT, RANDY --- YOU TUNIN' SUM-A-BITCH !!!

  • Man I heard the most awful rumor that Dwight and Sharon Stone went out on a date. Seriously? Sharon Stone???? Ewwww!!!!

  • vaughn could have driven, but i like to think doyle would rather wreck than let some cocksucker drive him around

  • I reckon Doyles related to that big nosed liquor head from them there baytuls who bangs his 72 year old drum is all.

he been telling us all to dog out and stop scribing him or he's burnin up them there letters. Real red necked out dumbo.

A kaiser plumb up about the head should sort that out.

  • i reckn

  • two afflicted son of a bitches, big ass bass, classic

  • great movie, all of these guys are super musicians, dwight is classic, ritter to, like the tune to,

  • i heard that they actually had to practice playing this bad.

  • I can't hear myself think for dat racket!!! Halarious...lol

  • hifuckinglarious the way the cripple in the wheel chair keeps rolling back and forth cuz doyle jus dont give a fuck

  • Can I get the TAB on that? What a riff. "You gotta play through it."

  • I've seen the movie a bunch of times. Never saw that scene. I love this damn movie. I been makin fun of it for years........... I reckon!

  • @davidbatterson Uhm hmm..

  • Fuck the po-lice!! The law's on my side!! lmao

  • the best of Arkansas

  • Oh man!

The kids down the road musta got the idea they could form a band very bad drumming lately...feel like reinacting this scene.

  • Oh man!

  • Doyles band sounds better than lady gaga or lil wayne or any garbage like that.

  • Hey pretty how bout ya? LOL!

  • i actually like this band where can I buy the cd?

  • Yosemite Sam?

  • Agreed. Dwight Yoakum stole the movie. His scenes taken of the context of this serious and great movie, could be pure comedy. "I play cards with JD Shelnut, Chief of Police...so kiss my ass ya lil bastard!"

  • When I first watched this and it cut to the band I thought: "Oh shit, how fake, Dwight Yoakam is going to sing and their band is going to actually be good." Well nope they weren't, lol.

  • wat r the tabs and tuning for this song? aha

  • whats the name of the song during the part where theyre in the truck??

  • there going into town cause their out of beer and liquor? then 30 seconds later doyle had almost a half fifth of booze in his hand? the directors really should have proof read that one

  • @KNEEGROWWW clearly that was done on purpose to convey Doyle's alchoholic tendencies -- even though he has plenty left, he'll need more.

  • Oh boy... a hit song haha!!

  • Whats the name of the song in the car scene???

  • 3 TIMES ALREADY! lmfao 3 times...

  • Dwight is almost as good of an actor as musician

  • Your a tunesmith. That's your trade.

  • that's the worst song I've ever heard in my whole entire life.

  • We're out of liquor and beer ! fricken classic !

  • The song rocks, my drummer and I used to break into this jam at practice, loved it!

  • I know J.D. shellnut.... lol!

  • Don't be a pussy, Vaughn, we all gotta work tomorrow

  • Dwight Yoakam stole this movie.

  • @Chris82bc

You ain't kiddin' , Chris . This is HIS movie . Yoakam possesses more talent in one of his pubes than these douche nozzles that call themselves country now . ( See Kenny Chesney , Tim McGraw , Rascall Flatts .... you know the rest . )

  • This scene makes Doyle seem like an alright guy. He did allow Karl and Vaughan to go along and even let them ride inside the truck.

  • I cannot believe that what I just watched is real. It's that beautiful

  • Who has the 327, Doyle or the Police officer? I never got that.

  • The Cop... Small (redneck) southern towns, every one knows each other... "Life's golden rule"-(for Jobs/Jail&help) ;It isn't what you know,,it's who you know !

  • They can't beat Southern Culture on the Skids!

  • Ha ha, love this shit. Sounds like really drunken, hung over surf.

  • Lol, yeah sounds like a number one hit tune alright.

  • @bassgod533 I Reckon.

  • Good clip. Never seen the car scene before. Guess it didnt make the real movie.

  • This is priceless, where did the clip from 2:30 on come from? Loved it.

  • "When you been drinking as long as me Vaugn, you build up a tolerance."

  • what is this music from? what band?

  • Was this a deleted scene?

  • Comment removed

  • you have to get the directors edition, theres about three scenes not on the regular copy

  • du dududu du du dududu

  • "What we need is some paying gigs."

  • pry that tween your legs for me wouldya

  • yeah, i can see why this was left out of the final cut. it was funnier to keep the "the law's on my side!" line with a hint of doubt that the police might hate him as much as his girlfriend and friends do and is again too oblivious and self centered to know the relationship is shitty

  • hahaha i love this part

  • And the Oscar for best redneck goes to.....Doyle for Swingblade!

  • I play cards with JD Shellnut!

  • haha "the laws on my side"

  • Chief of the Police...so kiss my ass u ol bastard!!!

  • You gotta play through it!

Get out! That includes retards and cocksuckers!!!!!

  • Best song EVER!

  • That drunk-driving part isn't on my version... Is is a director's cut of some sort?

  • yea its the special edition dvd

  • its on the directors cut dvd...i noticed my copy missing a few weeks ago and bought a new copy and it was on there

  • @felsner1 Yes. It is on the director's cut.

  • @felsner1 Gotta get me that version! Most brilliant movie of all time!

  • AKA "The No. One Hit Tune"... LOL!

  • IT'S TERRIBLE

  • it's not bad/... surfer inspired

  • Awesome song, pure genious.

  • FUNNY SHIT !
