Its actually the most beautiful theme song I have ever heard. It reminded of my boyhood Sunday afternoons in warm Kingston, Jamaica. When my mother would prepare the most sumptious Jamaican traditional Stewed Chicken with Rice and Peas, complemented with chopped fresh vegetables and string beans; and finally washed down with rum spiked carrot juice. Those evenings and my recently past mother are gone forever.....but the memories remain precious to my being.
Such a great song. Its amazing, really. It inspires emotion in so many people. I myself found myself close to, if not in tears, in Carl's aging montage. Brilliant film!
I love how it ends the memory of Ellie within house is up there in paradise falls were Carl promised he'd take her and he's back carrying on the adventure of his life just like he promised Ellie.

Great story!! Who didn't cry when Ellie got sick and then finally died? I found myself crying again during the end credits.
