  • Is that Pikachu?

  • Lol, the Xbox is getting 30 fps there. Either they are capping it or it is seriously the max. I hope not! My computer gets 600 fps on that demo with a Radeon 5770 under Linux. I think that it is cool that it supports GPU accelleration on Linux systems.

  • I think it looks good

  • The points are:

    - Axiom3D is a free opensource 3D engine based on Ogre3D, enterily done in C#.

    - XNA is the new version of managed DirectX, which means managed Directx will stop being supported.

If we want XNA to be compatible with new version of managed directX we have to use it. In addition it permits us to run our demos/games on Xbox360 as well.

Go and tell Ogre3D users "hey guys, why do you use Ogre when you can use only directx or opengl ?"

XNA IS NOT a 3D engine but a SDK

  • lotsa calculations for a barely noticeable water effect, not practical but nice work

  • lol you got told

  • Though people might not like this, I actualy agree with pwEclipse. I don't see the point in devlopping a comercial game engine on top of XNA.

If it's for learning or an exercise though, I absolutly disagree, but I guess this is not.

  • There are already Comercial game engines for XNA!.

  • Because XNA is not a game engine, and it is the only way to get games onto an XBox 360 (unless you're paying for a full fledged SDK).

  • not this one !

  • Just to confirm - is this a video of it actually running on the Xbox 360?
