Where are u farming that u don't make money on farming. All the dairy farmers I know, they got the best and biggest equipment. you are probably one of the crying farmers. Sorry, don't want to hurt you.
@dannyschulz1 UK -UK dairymen are paid the lowest milk price in Europe and about half what Canadian farmers get. Right now i am getting 22 pence per litre - Break even price is about 28 pence so it does not even cover the cost of production - That situation would make anyone cry LOL
@holsteincowboy were are you sending your milk to because thats what we were on 22 pence and thats about the lowest on the market we were first milk but no other companeys would take your milk so we stopped milking
why ugly?just because there is some muck lying around, which is being cleaned up.a nice yard i thought with some original buildings, first thought it was uk or ireland
I often wondered how you guys managed to wear out your sheargrabs so fast, never realised they were abusing them....Its gonna cost you the price of a proper grab to get that fixed, and the cranked tines on a sheargrab are almost twice the price of the straight ones and they are easier broken especially with the pressure of a possibly blunt blade pushing down against them as well as the extra time and fuel it used to do the job!
This is better then a manure fork and a wheelbarrow! But why did you let it get so deep? That can't have been good on the cows feet.

We got a bucket cheap 2nd hand and welded brackets onto it for are 290. Could you not do something similar. Cheap and effective?

airey1694 3 years ago
shear grab kina slow and heavy for that kind of work
hamish would have done it in half the time for you ;-)
paraffindan 4 years ago
why r u using a shear grab seems daft when you could use something a little quicker at shutting and hold more????????
LEWIS6210SE 4 years ago
I do not have anything better - It was either this or muck it out by hand with a fork :)
There is no money in dairy farming to spend on fancy muck grabs.
Maybe if milk prices reach 30 ppl i will be able to get something better in the meantime will just have to make do with what i have
holsteincowboy 4 years ago
why r u using a shear grab? seems a bit daft when it is twice as slow as any other impliment u could use????
