I think house isnt really crazy i think hes up to something like when he feigned having brain cancer for more vicodin, and went to a rehab only to pay a worker to give him vicodin in the tritter arc... house wouldnt normally go willingly

I'm pretty sure the basis for the Ward 6 arc is that House is no longer seeing Amber or Kutner or confusing reality, but that black doctor still thinks he's sick, probably because he's a jerk, and won't reinstate his medical license. House retaliates, by, of course, being House. <3

it's not just hallucinations, he was not able to tell that what he experienced was hallucinations, which makes him unable to differentiate reality from fantasy, which makes him psychotic. He is not 'perfectly normal', at least for the finale of season 5.
