  • I'm curious to hear about your ordeal of, unknowingly i hope, buying a stolen bike.

  • hey bud, nice bike ...

do you still have it? If so, how has it held up to now?

What's the farthest you've ridden it for?

  • for the money a great bike! well done!!!

  • Im getting a bike like that on christmas

  • @Freddyfan357 same

  • Thats a better looking bike than the other one :L

  • How did you get the bike that cheap? $350? All the local shops say $400-$420.

  • damn i want such a kick stand for my kona dew fs

  • @dimaflour Funny thing is that this is the first kick stand that I really liked and left on the bike. I've owned at least 30 bikes, and this is the first bike I've left the kick stand on.

  • @Spencerian it must tell something. must be a good one

  • I'll never get spending so much on a bicycle. I suppose you have to be an addict/enthusiast but what makes a $350 or $900 bike that much better than a simple ~$150 bike? I've had various bikes, not worth very much, that weren't very special that worked just fine for me. I did all kinds of riding on them too: off-road, on-road, short-distance, and long-distance.

I can't imagine worrying about such an expensive bike getting stolen. My cousin's $900 bike was stolen while locked before.

  • @killer2600 It comes down to a matter of comfort, performance, and reliability. I'm sure your cheaper bikes went fine, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just if you commute 30 miles on a bike daily, maybe you should invest. The big thing is the quality of parts, if they'll last and actually function like they will. If the bike was put together with care and not just slapped together. If you are touring though, get a a nice bike. San Francisco to Vancouver is even further on shitty bikes

  • gay, trek is better

  • @JUKIO01 Did you know a few years ago, Giant made bikes for Trek? It depends on the year of your bike. What year is your bike? I wonder if your Trek is gay.

  • nice bike my got stolen in front of my house some 1 cut my 5 feet lock off paided only 150 for both chain n bike n it gone after 3 week.. world wrecker?

  • wow ... great bike ... and for the good price as well!!

  • Nice to see that you got all the new parts you bought for the previous, stolen bike and bolted them on this baby. Yeah, I don't like the scraping sound of disc brakes either.

    Keep 'em vids coming Robert!

  • HYBRID??? HUH? VERY FUEL EFFICIENT

  • @Adrenal1neJunk1e A hybrid bicycle is a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike.

  • @Spencerian gotcha ;-D

  • Nice bike dude! Giant is one of the best bikes made. I have had my Giant for 24 years and 22,000 miles and it is as tight as ever! Keep on rollin! "Steve J"

  • Nice looking bike Rob!!!

  • Nice!

  • so that your ride in the background? *LOL*

  • Very nice setup. I'm jealous!

  • Congrats on bicycle Rob.

  • y is this bike missing an engine? looks like it only has 1 hp. wanna race?

  • at least this isnt stolen , just be careful you dont get robbed , your luck seems to be kinda low lately

  • $350 the cheap option? Holy crap! lol

  • @bfmv580 Well, there were the $600 bikes and the $900 bikes, so this was the cheap QUALITY bike option. If I wanted cheaper, I'd have to go with Walmart or something of less quality.

  • @Spencerian Yeah I get that you want a decent bike. Im not saying its a bad thing man.

  • @bfmv580 My current bike cost $1200 =0P

  • @Anavengertg Wow, I bet it rides amazingly. Well I should bloody hope so for that money :-)

  • Get a Brooks Saddle. It's more comfortable. Gel seats give you road rash and can get very uncomfortable on long rides.

  • @Anavengertg Yeah, but Brooks Saddles take months to break in. Plus, they weigh a ton. I know the deal with saddles, as I have about 3 spare ones, and I migrate them from bike to bike. This gel saddle was really comfortable and cushy, but was still narrow enough not to give me rash. I haven't taken this bike on a century ride yet, so I can't tell if it will rash.

  • got the same bike the wife and i this bike you can beat the hell out of it and it keeps coming back for more no break downs only replaced the brake pads ENJOY

  • Nice bike, that seat is a great option.

  • are you shore that its not stolen?

  • @warezvz

jesi li obala da nije ukraden? :)

  • @Anticitizen419

    wtf?

  • @warezvz sure je siguran, shore je obala...

  • @warezvz Yeah, I bought the bike new from the bicycle shop. I couldn't imagine buying a second stolen bike. Imagine what the police / judge would think. They would think I'm full of crap, and I'm not the victim, but a perpetrator.

  • @Spencerian

hey the chicken would get you out of jail

  • You should gone for ones with disc brakes.

  • @78UNKNOWN I didn't want a bike with disc brakes because it's less easy for me to service. Also, I don't like disc brakes because I don't like the rubbing sound at all. To top it off, this hybrid is just for riding in the street, and not going through mud. If anything should go wrong with the wheel, it's easily and replaced with any 700c rim.
