  • Very modal. OK to use ring finger as you are playing double stops, much easier to articulate.

    GOOD job.

  • This is a really lovely piece of music, you have a talent which not many people can even aspire to, well done and good luck with the rest of your future projects :)

  • funky. funky is good.

  • For two days now I keep coming back to this vid, really good. I don't play the double bass, but I think I will learn it on the electric bass. Well done.

  • yeah its ok.. good work

    not perfect but ok

  • I love those instruments!!!

It sucks that I play false notes 99.9% of the time -.-

  • Reminds me of Brand X......Percy Jones......cheers!!!

  • Great!!!!

  • i actually think this is brilliant :')

  • very cool! tums up

  • VerityPabla nailed it on the head. Who really cares if you're classically trained or not? You have a lot of music creativity, and it shows. You can adapt to any instrument with that. :)

  • @DivineWindOfTheSnow ... thanks dude!:)

  • Disliking the fact your using your ring finger when you're at half position. It also sounds like you're playing it as you were a guitarist and not a bassist. Great Job though!!!!!

  • @junkiemunkie1000 .cheers dude. Yeah I play guitar for a living, I'm not a bassist.

  • @simonhayden Loving the fact that "you're using your middle finger when you're at half position." It's your bass dude, I don't think you're hurting its feelings by giving it the middle finger at half position. You make that bass do what you want it to do, I like it.

  • Thats a proper groove, Authentic!

  • @humanrights4all ..........thanks mate!

  • @DaNorthernLight ..... thanks dude!:)

  • wow... that was almost better than rabbath ( i cant tell because ive never heard rabbath pluck)

    great job dude

  • @ajonelag

    thanks dude!

  • CRAZY.. love it

  • @LPuncture

    cheers dude!

  • Great!

  • suena bien = )

  • holy crap. you must have an awfully big hand to be able to play with your thumb over the fingerboard. do you play rabbath style? i noticed use of the ring finger, which is non existent in simandl teachings. then again you're probably not using either, cuz this style technique seems anything but classical lol

  • @StopTheMoti0n

hey man, yeah theres nothing traditional here:) I'm a self taught musician, play guitar for a living mostly, but piano and double bass for love! Si

  • awesome!

  • GREAT ... I can do that on my piano-strings , too :)))

  • Hi Marcus, wow, like 'Stefano Bollani' does? I was on the same bill at a similar time to him during the coventry jazz festival in 2005 therefore unable to catch his set but I heard that he was plucking and hitting the grand pianos strings whilst playing!
