The Rich Young Ruler's tithing did not lead to salvation. Christ rejected him because he would not give 100%. I do not know ONE pastor who teaches tithing who actually does it. Mr. Dollar, add up your gross paycheck, your housing allowance, your car allowance, your insurances, pensions, etc. and then take 10% of THAT. That is what tithing means to the average person. We are free from the law. God often requires much more, but mostly he requires 100% of us and total loyalty to the Bible.

You will see beyond a shadow of a doubt that eternal is not eternal - time contexts are connected to the subject to which the words are ascribed. The Rich Young Ruler's tithing did not lead to salvation. Christ rejected him because he would not give 100%. I do not know ONE pastor who teaches tithing who actually does it. Mr. Dollar, add up your gross paycheck, your housing allowance, your car allowance, your insurances, pensions, etc. and then take 10% of THAT. That is what tithing means to the average person. We are free from the law. God often requires much more, but mostly he requires 100% of us and total loyalty to the Bible.

Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that Creflo Dollar as a false prophet does not.

Thank you, Muerta06 for speaking the truth. For those that continue to think tithing is 10% of your money, it's clear you haven't done bible study. Tithing was simply FOOD given to the Levites from the Israelites as commanded by God. 10% of the FOOD went to the High Priest Arron appointed by God. The FOOD(tithe) was stored in a Tabernacle in Jerusalem. This was not a commandment given to all but SPECIFICALLY them. Stop being deceived thinking giving "money" is what God wants or desires.

@Muerta06 Well scripture does tell us we know the tree by its fruit. To deny one truth of the Bible is to deny the entire Word, which is to deny God himself. Yep, the enemy has a strong grip on many who take pastor's false doctrines for granted and never study themselves. There is a ton of ignorance in most churches that goes unchecked and will have many not even knowing God. Sad...but it's all been foretold.

But to simply shut down this whole "tithing is food", "tithing is old testament" idea, since everyone wants to stay new testament, the word says God wants EVERYTHING. Matthew 19:21 - Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

That scrip is about loving Him more than possessions In Christ we are blessed b/c we believe not b/c we tithe which is not a NC command There is no scrip in the NC that commands tithing b/c Christ came to make a better cov. w/ us We GIVE but we dont HAVE to tithe Preachers like Dollar manipulate ppl into thinking that if they dont tithe they wont be blessed and that is against the Word and to say tithing=salvation COME ON!

@nightcypha Amen!!! That's it! People just have to be open that everything that we have been taught might not be true but have an open heart and mind to seek Jesus for yourself. I had to do that. I had to delete all I thought I knew about Christ and seek Him in the scriptures. I am surprised how many scriptures I had been taught were out of context and twisted to mean something they do mot. We have to read w/ audience relevance and keep scrips in the right context.

@nightcypha Not only that there were 3 tithes in the bible to the children and 2 were eaten by the tither and shared with the poor, widows and fatherless. folks try to point to abraham, but he gave something that wasn't even his it was the king of sodoms stuff. And if that is the precedent, why did they not tithe in numbers 31. And the sabbath predated any tithing but folks throw that in the trash.

@pgill61 You're absolutely correct! Ignorance is bliss in the world and it seems in most churches. We can tell people this but their belief is so strong in false doctrine that they refute what they "think" they have faith in; God. Such a destructive force they are to themselves. The day of Judgment will be hard on a ton of pastors/priest/preachers.

You can thank Kenneth Copeland for this idiot. He needed a way to tap into the black market in the south that was largely baptist and he could not do it with a white boy. In return for the souls, Copeland gave Dollar the keys to the kingdom and made him rich.

So to all you folks that defend the teaching of tithing and giving to get - how are your finances doing??? Have you received 30 or 60 or 100 times what you have given??? If you tithed last year on $20,000 income, then your $2000 tithe should be netting you $60k this year (30fold x 2000). Well??? The ONLY people who receive windfalls are those who put their hand out and ask for it from others in the name of god. You cannot give to get - God is not a slot machine.
