I think the music is great ... but the lyrics are also great - the "scheming demons dressed in kingly guise ... beating down the multitude and scoffing at the wise" and "the hypocrites are slandering the sacred halls of Truth" - makes me think how today, politicians, Big Business and Big Banking and Big Media owners are these "scheming demons" beating us down with biased media news ... "Can't we raise our eyes and make a start ... can't we find the minds to lead us closer to the Heart"
aahh yes..their Japanese kimono years..lol...I love on the new movie how they admitted they knew nothing about fashion...fortunately the music outweighs the clothing..always has with these guys....great band, one of the all time best
What a super excellent song and performance! Prog music at it's finest(and without even a keyboard).The Farewell to Kings album had to contain the finest music Rush ever wrote.I would rank it as their second greatest album and only because Caress of Steel came first.
I'd never heard of Rush 'til I went to Canada in' 80. A bit self indulgent but good, I still like them, very N.American and cheesy, but amongst it all, moments of brilliance!!
I first saw this on either Don Kirshners Rock concert or one of those other shows, So long ago , But also the trees Video it was like watching super heros without fighting take a lesson WORLD

I think this Farewell clip is on an old compilation of Rush vids on VHS from the first Chronicles series. Thanks for posting!
