Actually, Scream 2 in my opinion was pretty funny. Not the stabbing. The parts that the producers actually intended to make humorous, which was a good part of the movie. The perfect balance between comedy and horror i think . :)
The 4th took so long cause they are going to go all out with multiple killers, different killings, crazy plot twists this is going to be the best 2 hours long I can't wait!! And the most confusing its gonna work if its not like the movie Basic where it just got way too onfusing. I've been waiting for them to announce Scream 4 for a long time. I thought it would be shit without Neve Campbell but now that she signed on it will be great. I'm 14, so i didn't get to see the originals in theatres{I was too young} and now I can see this 1. Totally gonna watch it and it's probably gonna be great!!
Huge fan of the trilogy but I'm not sure how to feel about this. Neve has officially signed on to do the next one now though so that's something. I'll go see it no matter what I hear about it. But I'll have to wait a while to make a proper judgement.
If Wes Craven is directing it, then I'm on board. I'm also glad to hear that Neve Cambell, Courtney and David will be in the movie. I also think it's cool that the movie will be out in 2010. That'll be the 10yr anniversary of the last Scream Movie. The Scream franchise, is easily my all time favorite horror movie franchise.

Good ideas. if that really were the case it could be done BRILLIANTLY or poorly.if done well it could set the stage for another whole group of films with her being the killer. Her bro would then meet up with Billy Loomis and the other killer from Scream 1. He could've talked them into killing their mother. Now, they don't know that Sidney knows about this. They kill the mother, but Sid and her bro are really behind it. In a way, Billy and the other killer are framed. Scream 3 rolls around, and Sidney's bro is revealed as the killer. Now he could've revealed himself as the killer, just so the Police wouldnt know that Sidney was involved.
Like I said, at the end of Scream 3 Sid and her bro held hands before she stabbed him one final time. It seemed like some sort of a bond or something. Just a thought.
It had it's moments! I won't say it was a great movie but I didn't feel that I wasted too much of my life watching it. Plus, seeing Kevin Sorbo was fun!!

well it would be pointless to make another one. Rowan was behind it all. He is dead, and the only other people against Sidney were Billy, Stu, Mrs. Loomis, and Mickey. They are all dead. If there was a copycat killer...it would be pointless because it would be like the rest of the Friday the 13th series. (I love them all) but its just a bloodbath and we learn nothing in the story.

And then we hear Dewey Riley clearing his throat on the other line and says, "Sorry sid, i had something in my throat..... Sid?"
But really... the last few minutes of Scream 3 was a great conclusion to the story. The fact that Sid leaves the door open at the end. Perfect!

This film is gonna need everything positive they get cause it's always harder to make a sequels, especially when they are making sequels over and over again.
They can't be too similar to the first movie but they can't also go another direction, Friday the 13th is a special case.
Scream 2 was a good sequel, and it didn't feel repetitive.

One problem... Sidney is the whole point of the series with out Sidney there is no SCREAM series. The whole point of Scream is the killer kill Sidney's friends then tries to kill Sidney... So If Sidney died there would be no point to keep doing the series.

Scream wasn't made to be a scary horror movie it was made to be ironic, a parody with horror elements
it was designed to be a trilogy because it parodies other horror trilogies which use the same formula
the characters in the movie are aware of this formula which makes it ironic, which is the basis of the whole thing
if a fourth is ever made, Wes will not be directing cos it would destroy the whole principle of why he made Scream in the first place.

i think it could possibly be a disaster or it could possibly be great.

Actually, Scream 2 in my opinion was pretty funny. Not the stabbing. The parts that the producers actually intended to make humorous, which was a good part of the movie. The perfect balance between comedy and horror i think . :)

The 4th took so long cause they are going to go all out with multiple killers, different killings, crazy plot twists this is going to be the best 2 hours long I can't wait!! And the most confusing its gonna work if its not like the movie Basic where it just got way too onfusing. Jamie Kennedy may be coming back to as Randy Meeks although no confirmation has been made.Wes Craven said once before that he'd like Randy to come back and that would make number four totally worthwhile.He sets the rules and the playing field after all.The fourth one will be out in October 2010 and it has even been suggested that they will be a spin off for a remake of the first three.Neve Campbell has confimed she will be in it,returning for the role of Sidney Prescott.

I'm not sure what it will be like but as long as Neve is in and Wes Craven directs it then I'm sure it will be great! I hope it will be as good as the first one! I've been waiting for them to announce Scream 4 for a long time. I thought it would be shit without Neve Campbell but now that she signed on it will be great. I'm 14, so i didn't get to see the originals in theatres{I was too young} and now I can see this 1. Totally gonna watch it and it's probably gonna be great!!

If Wes Craven is directing it, then I'm on board. I'm also glad to hear that Neve Cambell, Courtney and David will be in the movie. I also think it's cool that the movie will be out in 2010. That'll be the 10yr anniversary of the last Scream Movie. The Scream franchise, is easily my all time favorite horror movie franchise.

And I'm thinking that Sidney, herself, will be the killer. To me, that would be the ultimate ending. On the last Scream, the killer was the bro she never knew. But at the sametime, it seemed that he and Sid shared a bond. Maybe that could play into this. I could see Sidney getting "killed" in the opening scene. Only for her to be revealed as the real killer later on.

Good ideas. if that really were the case it could be done BRILLIANTLY or poorly.if done well it could set the stage for another whole group of films with her being the killer. Although it wouldn't actually work, as we saw the final scenes of each movie makes it almost impossible for it 2 be sid. Billy lumus' mother! she would be the most difficult killer to explain.the rest are just regular psycos so easily done. cant wait though whatever happens. maybe her mother isn't really dead?

Her bro would then meet up with Billy Loomis and the other killer from Scream 1. He could've talked them into killing their mother. Now, they don't know that Sidney knows about this. They kill the mother, but Sid and her bro are really behind it. In a way, Billy and the other killer are framed. Scream 3 rolls around, and Sidney's bro is revealed as the killer. Now he could've revealed himself as the killer, just so the Police wouldnt know that Sidney was involved.

well it would be pointless to make another one. Rowan was behind it all. He is dead, and the only other people against Sidney were Billy, Stu, Mrs. Loomis, and Mickey. They are all dead. If there was a copycat killer...it would be pointless because it would be like the rest of the Friday the 13th series. (I love them all) but its just a bloodbath and we learn nothing in the story.

Is the 4th movie going to be too much? Please correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the 2nd too much? This is the problem... Saw (the 1st) did well. Very well, in fact. So what does this mean for film society? We're gonna keep making the same fucking movie over and over. In essence, if it worked for Saw, why not Scream? Scream 4 should be a minute long:
Sidney picks up her ringing phone. She hears that voice, "Hello Sidney" and then looks at the camera and says "hellllll no" and then shoots herself in the head.
And then we hear Dewey Riley clearing his throat on the other line and says, "Sorry sid, i had something in my throat..... Sid?"
But really... the last few minutes of Scream 3 was a great conclusion to the story. The fact that Sid leaves the door open at the end. Perfect!

If Neve Campell isn't gonna be in this movie then I ain't gonna watch it. She is the only one who can act the role for Sidney.
This film is gonna need everything positive they get cause it's always harder to make a sequels, especially when they are making sequels over and over again.
They can't be too similar to the first movie but they can't also go another direction, Friday the 13th is a special case.

Scream 2 was a good sequel, and it didn't feel repetitive.
Scream 3... was bad. also it got pretty ridiculous.
I think that if they actually come up with a great script and make horror movies fun to watch again, then they should make it. I mean fuck theyre making a Saw6 and already planning a 7th... as long as Saw is still out there I expect lots of sequels to be made
