no you didnt lol .... i mean seriously are you reading my mind.. its pretty scary that everything i want to make lol.. and sweet potatoe cheescake was defly on my mind thanks for your vids keep up coming you are def'ly teaching me some things on cooking... everyone loves my catfish, chicken, and greens... been taught by the best so thanks :-)
Where did you go to school...Its amazing how the words your using an the techniques your using are those that i learned in the first semester of my school. Which is Lincoln Tech or Lincoln Culinary rather. I feel like u studied there tho. Love the cooking and style u cook in. Im inspired because i want to do my own videos as well but im not as confident as u are right now. But u inspired me today to push that out of the way thanks!
@RemarkableAngel1 You can do videos too :) I haven't been formally trained. It's just a hobby that has developed into my own sort of art. My mom didn't care for cooking once we got older so I took over the household cooking by trial and error. I've learned techniques and some methodology via cookbooks and of course the Foodnetwork. But I've loved to cook since I was a little kid. You can make videos too. I was really camera shy but I'm gettin a lil' better. You can do it too!
Awesome! This video was uploaded on Bruno Mars birthday!!!!! ::D Btw my bday is coming up, and I will be trying your fried catfish on my bday! I can't wait to try this, thanks for the video! <3
@Mizzangela85 No. Grand Diamond is formulated to be used on everything and you can go heavy for a super spicy bite or you can go light for an added kick. You can add other spicies to it (no need but u can). I've added sugar (GD doesn't have sugar) and vinegar to make it into a wet rub for the ribs. We'll release more flavors soon also :)
I just made the fish and french fries, I used tilapia, dont care for cat fish and i dont eat tarter sauce, the meal was great. saturday i did the oven ribs omg, thank you girl it was the best
Ooooh this made me so hungry. I haven't had a good fish fry on so long. I'm buying and frying some today. It's Sunday and it sounds just perfect. Thank you so much Caroline!
@DaRealBossHall If you're breading it like I do, good to go. Then you gotta get that oil HOT. Get yourself a thermometer that clips onto the side of the pot. Find them in most grocery stores. Get the oil to 350 degrees and don't over crowd the fryer.
@CookingWithCarolyn Aww-Haah! Yes, I am a native Am. in Phx. Wow. I love your tenderness & great looks. Yep! I am College duty and single: passed clubbing, well not that much. It wasn't my place: more of a home body. Thanks Carol for the video & pointers , hopr to hear from you.
Is it good if fried your fish like : You coat the fish with a little bit of olive oil and put directly in a bag with seasoned bread crumble , shake it as well and , fried it in aa other oil ...but not Deep'' fried ... Is it considered like fried fish LOL ? :)
WOW,....nothin' like some Soulful Fried Catfish and fries,....blanched french fries, gotta try this and the homemade tartar sauce,...i always thought of store bought and never makin' fresh,....thumbs up to ya sweet Carolyn and thankin' ya for the AWESOME UPLOAD!! = D
hi carolyn, the fish and fries look so..good, the other fish with the catfish that you cooked is called basa, my co workers turned me on the basa about a year ago and i love it, thanks for the egg batter tip im going to try it next time i cook some fish.
@qaadirs I wish I had a line of cookware out LOL. Actually I buy cookware from warehouse stores (Costco or Sam's Club). You can also try QVC.com, these all have great deals and lots of choices, just do the price comparisons and go with what works for you :)
@Cwest2930 I was using Peanut oil (only because it was close) but you can use vegetable or canola oil as well. The skillet was over about medium-high heat and the temp can be about 325-350 degrees. If you're deep frying you'll know when it's done because the fish will float to the top.
How long have you been cooking? I see that you hardly ever measure anything yourself, you just tell us the measurements.. unless you've done it beforehand. - Loving the fact that there will be a new vid every Friday!! - Wow @ you cutting all of those fries by hand like that. - Looks great!!
@Shyloh8 I've been cooking for quite a while LOL and yes in the past I didn't measure. Once I started writing recipes I had to measure so I could tell the viewers about how much to use for certain ingredients. Thanks for watchin!
