Thanks for your comment. I didn't know that but do know that it was very scary standing on those little platforms. What an incredible feat though....building something like this.
Sorry but I don't remember. I was so freaked out climbing the skinny steps between the temple rooms, looking out over the void and it was bitter cold that day. If I had been smart, would have rented one of those long Chinese coats from one of the hawkers. It even started to snow later on that day.
the poles are fake by the way.
they were put there for tourist who were to afraid to go up...
the temple is completely held up just by the mountain

there is a certain statue i'm looking for thats in that temple
its of a man who is holding a wishing coin in one hand and a snake in the other
i think he is the tao spirit king of the west or something

It was incredible. You see the pictures but then the temple appears before your eyes.
