Might I suggest going on Peaceful when you do the speed builds. Just one less thing to get in the way. :D Your choice though, no biggie.

Also try out the Inventory Tweeks mod. When you run out of an item in your hotbar it automaticly replaces it with the same item from your inventory. Works with tools as well. ^_^d

They should make a minecart with a pressure plate in it. So you can harvest a dungeon by putting an automatic minecart circuit under the spawner. When an npc dies, his loot drops into the minecart and hits the pressure plate which activates the circuit. the loot comes automatically to your house. PROFIT
