  • Wow! Pleasantly surprised that the singer is actually a hottie! With that voice (which I love) I figured he'd be ugly as sin. :-P

  • Hmm ... Robert Pattinson right at the beginning of the video? :P :P

  • This song used to pack the dance floor back in the 80's club scene. So good to hear it again after all these years. I'm much older now but still so fond of that time in my life. What fun we had!

  • I just showed this video to my friends' 13 year old and she asked me, "what is that box the guy is standing in?" OMG...

  • This song used to be played in every club and roller rink every friday night back in 91..wow this takes me waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back, right along with new order and information society. Those were jams!

  • @soulrskreem29 You, my friend, hit that Right on the head ! I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Damn, I'm getting old. This takes me back to when I was 16-17. I used to dance like a maniac on my bed when this was played on the WDRE Radio Saturday Night Dance party. I was looking for this song but had forgoteen both the title and the group. How could I have possibly forgotten Kon Kan? The name doesn't get anymore New Wave than that.

Get your little fucking fuel-efficient piece of shit car out of the fast lane. We are the champions, motherfuckers. Bunch old women. Fuuuuuuck you.

  • @zx1400a7f Yea FUCK YOU and the US!!

  • @prometheues fuck you

  • @prometheues Yeah, sounds about right. Even on AllMusic.com, they refer to the lead singer sounding very similar to Bernard Sumner. I just got into this band a few weeks ago.

  • @prometheues You too! I thought it was New Order.I'd never heard of this band.

  • lol : ]

  • @JIMNNICKY Well, the 80's was AWESOME, but there are good artists nowadays as Keane, Owl City, Depeche Mode, Planet Funk and others. Synth Pop still alive. Have a LOVELY WEEK!!! :-)

  • Amen to that! NO autotune or Oogah Bogah!

  • Oh Yeah!

  • this brings back a few memories!

  • @elfurtado; yes it is very much like Blue Monday, also like a lot of other New Order stuff, like the song in Transpotting.

Still, maybe a doppler, but a bloody good one!

  • Thank you XM...it's taken me 10 years to finally figure out the title of this awesome jam that is played at every 80's night.

  • still got this on 12'' sound job

  • Has anyone commented how the vocals in this song reminds of "Blue Monday"? Or maybe it is just me.

  • I went to school with Kevin from the group.Small world

  • My guilty pleasure

  • Something Patrick Bateman would have in his CD player

  • Hearing this on the dance floor these days would be amazing

  • Excellent Vid... And good to hear this again... God wern;t the 80's fun?

  • Don't know why i like this but at the time was kind catchy, seem to remember it used to come on at the same time of the night on a radio station, then i would fall asleep !!! hahaha

  • No la escuchaba desde hace años..la volvi a escuchar en la radio , la busqué y la encontré .. buenísimo tema musical!!!!!!!

  • Classic <3!!

  • This is one of those songs I'm embarrassed to tell people I love.

  • @MyCatsBreath don't. you'll come across someone who loves it to someday and feel a connection. it's cool

  • Hahahah. That "do you want to Salsa?" clip is from National Lampoon's album "That's not funny, that's sick."

  • clap clap clap clap

  • eta ferro bom... to só viajando no tempo ....aproveite cada momento da sua geração ... cara to muito feliz por isso ...sabe porqie? porque eu aproveitei!!! abraço a todos!

  • Freaken love this song!!!

  • Such a brilliant song. A classic These guys really had an ear for samples and hooks. They obviously made the video before they made the money from the song. Let's hope they made some money off the this and didn't get ripped off by the label.

  • '80s dance... still makes me move... nothing to beat it,,,

  • Oh, yes, Rose Garden, written by Joe South in the late 1960s and on an album of his in 1969. Goodness, the 1960s and 1980s threw up some wonderful songs, didn't they? Lynn's version recorded in 1970 was very lovely indeed , too. I love creative sampling! The original 1960s Rose Garden is on YouTube try "Joe South" "Rose Garden"

  • Cool how they inner mixed country star Lynn Anderson's 1970's hit "Rose Garden" into this song. Tammy Wynette later had a big hit with the KLF and then the "Queen of Country Music" LORETTA LYNN recorded a Grammy winning CD with rocker Jack White.

  • so cool

  • la onda electro después de PET SHOP BOYS A PARTIR DE 1990, Erasure, Kon Kan, Thecnotronic, ñluego la musica se dregado con la Lambada meneito baile de perritos y todas esa basura

  • kon kan

  • SO WHAT'S THEIR NAME???? No one says!

  • @ferngullyful Their name was Kon Kan, from Canada.

  • @stuckinda8Os Ever wonder where Kon Kan got their name?

  • @StoogeWatcher They're Canadian. In Canada, radio stations are required to play something like 40% music by Canadian acts, otherwise known as Canadian Content (Can Con for short). Kon Kan is a play on that.

  • @nhf7170 I never knew that. Thanks!!!

  • I always thought this was the Pet Shop Boys.

  • I hve heard this song 100+ times but had no idea who the group was or the name of the song until today.

  • There have always been creative musicians. It is radio that doesn't let you hear them so you have to find them by other means. Radio in Hawaii is a joke and hardly any good groups/singers come here anymore.

  • It brings me back to a time when this country still had balls and all of the p.c. clowns were still under their rocks. I know that has nothing to do with this song but it just brings me back to the last great decade of creative musicians and the last great decade that this country saw period. I am glad to have lived right through the thick of it, this song was and is priceless.

  • timleless =)

  • stationed in HI when this was out....

  • If I remember correctly, this is the first song with sampling. Back when it was creative, and not just a ripoff by people who can't come up with their own music.

  • 90's music was so tragic, was there even one good song from the 90's?

Can anyone tell me who the female vocal is, she sounds like an angel. Its not Lynn Anderson dubbed in is it?

  • @hilarycutter Yes, This is Country Music artist Lynn Anderson. They inner mixed her mega country/pop song into this video.

  • beatiful¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • the overture should be in Megaman Legends 3

  • até hoje to querendo saber, pq que introduziram uma fala em portugues brasileiro nop inicio dessa musica, quando nos iamos nas boates 88, 90 . boms tempos

  • I love these 80's tunes! I miss them!

  • Barry Harris of Thunderpuss.

  • brilliant

  • How Ilike it!. Is fantastic. Wonder that!

  • the 80s what else needs to be said

  • i looooooooooooooooooooooove this song

  • Faaabulous song. So I can look clever: the name Kon Kan is a play on 'Canadian Content', being the term for the required amount of home-grown music to be played on Canadian radio stations... well, that's what I read, anyway...

  • @Sledge101

    Good ole wikapedia...

  • @universe221967 There's more to read out there than Wikipedia, thanks (which you can't even spell correctly). It was the Encyclopaedia of Classic 80s Pop by Daniel Blythe, actually.

  • @Sledge101 ...and that is one VERY good read.

  • 30 years and owning two of their albums and this is the first time seeing the video...how did that happen

  • @PLTWCastro welcome to the internet!!

  • @BMadera08 well said i`m 43 and love this song nice to hear a younger person like this music..........cheers.

  • @BMadera08 i love them as much as you too!!!! and im 24!!!!!

  • @BMadera08 You were born in the wrong decade. When the 90's started, music went downhill, and it remains that way in 2011. Music was good in the 80's, but to me, the 70's music was the best.

  • @BILLMCG1958 There was a lot of great music in the first years of the '90's. The thing was, you had to look for it. Most of the good stuff was indie.

  • = New Order

  • definitely one of the best new order rip offs out there.. this song was to new order as camoflauge was to depeche mode. lol.

  • @bluehairspaz wooooaaaaahhhhhh camoflague
