  • does your mom know hat you have that rifle in her basement ? You go clean while everybody else shoots their rifles.

  • Another thing, I would feel confident putting hundreds of rounds through mine. Corrosive ammo just requires some dish soap and water to break down the salts. There is a reason why these guns still shoot straight after 70+ years, they are built like F'n tanks.

  • Great now I'm taking "lessons" from a 12 y/o! Post vids once your other ball drops junior.

  • lol a lot of yall are harsh, I know to many people who dont clean their guns properly. Nice lookin mosin!

  • I put 400 rounds through my yugo SKS non chrome lined. took 20 minutes to clean. If your barrel is heavily pitted than it may take longer to clean. I agree with the others if it takes you 2 days to clean your rifle your doing something wrong.

  • this is a classic video on how new or non gun related people are miss informed and why they believe things that arent true. so to you sir i say thank you for dragging down what the gun community worked so hard to build.

  • Are you sure you know how to clean a firearm?

If it takes you "2-3 days" to do something that takes others 20-30 mins then clearly you're doing something wrong.

It's safe to say that the Russians in Stalingrad didn't just stop in the middle of a firefight and say "Shit... That's 50... Hey guys I gotta clean my gun. See you 2-3 days. *To the Germans* Hey, I'm gotta go clean my gun so don't shoot at me for the next 2-3 OK?" and I would imagine they fired more than 50 rounds out of their weapons.

  • i think you are the only person on the face of the planet that cleans his gun all day. i clean my 1932 mosin in 20 minutes. i just spray powder blast down my barrel clean it and then spray it down with rem-oil i put 200 rounds through it last time i shout and didnt have a single problem no bolt sticking no nothing.cleaning a gun after 50 rounds is ridiculous unless shooing corrosive ammo. and if you use corrosive ammo just clean it really good and check it every day and clean as needed

  • Oh my gosh... Look guy, I have a 1929 Tula 91/30 and it doesn't take me more than an hour or so to completely dissasemble it and clean it... and it has never malfunctioned in the 1000+ rounds I've put out of it and the grouping doesn't change all that much. Crazy.

  • @jigbo1 damn strait. the guns were used in the war. wtf is the fun of shooting the gun if you spend so much time cleaning the damn thing? in the war, the best cleaning you would do was maybe run some water through the barrel, swab the barrel once real quick, and look at how they turned out. not shoot one bullet and sit there cleaning it so much. not like there's anything wrong with taking care of your guns. the guns were built to be abused, not treated like your newborn baby.

  • when you said you cleaned your Mosin from 2 to 10 one of the days I couldn't stop laughing. WTF were you doing the whole time, that is just crazy. This was one of the funniest videos i have seen in a long long time.

  • Yea, because the Russians only shot 50 rounds at the Germans then surrendered. All those rounds through there, hundreds and hundreds, and not always time to clean it in combat. My bore looks fine.

  • its a fuckin nagant! you can throw your gun in to a lake full of shit and it will keep on shooting and shooting and shooting.

  • finger off the trigger Im 12 ad I know that

  • k there

  • @CPLBSS88 agreed

  • no way a rifle should take that long to clean. This was a WAR rifle and I dont think they spent all that much cleaning them. thisis a work horse of a rifle. I think you cleaning it all the time is an obsessive thing to keep yer guns very clean on your part.

  • @GlockPunisher1 Yea no doubt. They told the opposing troupes to chill out so they could clean there mosins.

  • @Glockwork9 TIME! TIME! We gotta clean our Mosins .... YEAH SEE YOU BACK HERE IN 20 HOURS OK!!?? ... OK!!

  • Steps to Clean a gun first run a dry patch to remove the majority of the losse powder deoposite 2. Run a wet pad, 3 run a dry pad, 4 brush and run a dry pad. Repeat till barrel is squicky clean then you can use copper solevent and please run a wet pad and a dry pad before you use your brush after using copper solevent because you brush is copper and itll eat it up..

  • Sorry dude I clicked on this video so I could see what BS you had to say, I bet you never cleaned your brush, I bet thats why It was black all the time, also Coper Solevent is your best friend. I have never spent more than 30 minutes cleaning a gun, I even had a Mosin Nagant and we Shot 400 rounds 30 minutes of cleaning no crud, You need to clean more effieciently, the green color is you solvent and copper, blue is copper to.

  • If it took that long to clean a mosin, the russians would have NEVER commissioned them. The way you clean, you must have an arsenal of sewerpipes. Toolbox

  • I.D.I.O.T. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does your mother know you're keeping guns in her basement?

  • wow.. i cant believe 18 people liked this video..

  • your a F*CKING idiot. I just got a russian mosin nagant and it took 5 minutes with G9 cleaner/lube/protector that i ordered online. one pass with a wire brush then three passes with a cloth and it looked like it did when it was shipped to me. GOD YOUR STUPID!

  • To all the new shooters who stumble upon this video, DO NOT wire brush the bore as many times as this video suggests. One pass through with a wire brush is plenty and that gun better be very dirty to even need that. Good solvents and patches is all you need to clean and protect the rifling.

  • 3:23 Wtf happened to your front sight its all crooked !

  • Is this video a joke ?

  • 2 OR 3 days to clean? You must be licking the barell! That is just absurd. I shot 150+ rounds through mine yesterday, took it home, cleaned and it was ready to go in less than 30 minutes. You obviously are an inexperienced kid. Do you think a Russian soldier had 2 or 3 days to clean their gun? They probably were lucky to have 10 minutes. That is why these guns were designed... simplicity. Get a clue.

  • If I cleaned it with my piss it would take less than 2-3 days by far.

  • I hate uneducated kids that make videos..specially when they have no idea what their talking about..

  • The only reason to clean it that good is to prep the barrel for moly coating. Use rubbing alcohol as a last step before laying down 3-4 coats of moly. This will help those older non chromed lined barrels last thousands of rounds, protect the barrel from rusting further, and make it easier to clean each time you shoot.

  • wow 20 times ? you'll ruin the bluing for repeatly "over clean" ! What I do I clean ? I use amonia, wipe with boresnake once , and oil it.Then it's all done and it shoot great. Or you can ask the Russian soldiers who fought in WW2, they do simple clean and they don't have time to clean repeat over and over .... Soldiers have to worry about staying alive :)

  • wow 2-3 days you are way overcleaning this gun a stripdown and clean only takes an hour max

  • 2-3 days? Are you cleaning it with used underwear son?

  • @spartan765

    You are retarded.

    Just fyi.

  • How to never handle a firearm, waving it all around! I just want to yank that thing out of his hands... Thumbs up if you agree.

  • even though i dont have a rifle it takes me 5 minutes tops to clean my mossberg 500

  • You can shoot as much corrosive ammo as you want in one session... just clean your rifles right when you get done!

I made the mistake of being lazy and waiting until the next day to clean my mosin... the bore was already showing rust! That was a wake up call for sure... at least this happened with the cheapest gun I own.

Anyways I cleaned & it still shoots alright. No harm no foul I guess... but I wouldn't risk doing it again! I cant imagine what it would have looked like after a week.

  • recently bought my first milsurp rifle (mosin M44).....patch of hoppes 9 up and down bore, decock bolt and take the lugs off, wipe down the firing pin (and bolt face) then oil, run a few dry patches down the bore till they come out clean. then an oily patch if you feel like it (just run a dry one through before you shoot it again) 10-15 mins tops, I used to be terrified of corrosive ammo before i started shooting it, its really not that bad at all my bore is still mirror after 700 rounds

  • if it takes you that long to clean this rifle, then you should give them away

  • wow... just wow... my nagant only takes me fifteen minutes to clean and that's after firing over 100 rounds through it in one day... freakin use hoppes no.9 powder solvent...

  • What are you doing to clean this rifle? It should take 15 minutes if you do a outstanding job.

  • wow some one needs to tech you how to cleen it just take lots of hot hot hot water down the bore it will brake the carbin up and it will come right now make sher to dry it but yea

  • just hot wash it dude does not take verry long

  • My bro cleaned a HORRID Mosin for a guy who had let the thing completely rust out and it took one sitting with the proper stuff. Sorry pal, I'll put 50+ rounds through my '43 Mosin and have her clean in ten minutes. Not a surplus find either, she's had 70 years of shooting. (P.S. , U.S.M.C. service rifles don't have chrome lined barrels; you might want to remind the Marines to clean their guns after every 30 rd mag)

  • Big misunderstanding here... This person is using an improper solvent for that bore. Such a solvent will actually corrode the steel in the barrel. Using the wrong solvent on an antique bore like that will cause the patches come out black time after time after time. Hoppe's #9 is a mild solvent. You clean a Mosin or Yugo SKS just like any other gun, just use a mild solvent. Make sure you do it soon after shooting to prevent corroding the bore.

  • U can tell he has no clue what the f he is doing because he uses "Foaming bore cleaner", he might have a hard time cleaning his bore because it is a octangon reciever, it has more than likely been shot with some cosmolin in the barrel so it is a pain in the ass to get that out just on its own or his bore is just pited to shit

  • Go play your video games and leave the lessons to the old timers.

    Please.

  • Wait. NO. When shooting corrosive ammo (most 7.26x54r surplus) swab the barrel with fresh water before leaving the range and swab again with boiling water as soon as you get home. Otherwise, it will rust. Round count is irrelevant because as long as the barrel is hot it won't rust.

  • Holy fucking stupid. Do the world a favor and STFU.

  • 2 - 3 days? You have to be kidding me!

  • 2-3 days cleaning when you got 2 pussies where you arms should be.

  • TRIGGER DISCIPLINE MUTHA FUCKA! YOU DON'T HAVE IT.

  • if i used your method of cleaning id never get to do any actual shooting

  • 2-3 days???? ahaha, 1 hour of thorough cleaning. Non crome line, 1932 tula 91/30

  • These rifles were designed, manufactured, and deployed during acts of war, and were "geared" to Eastern Bloc forces which were given to not cleaning their rifles very well, or indeed not at all. I shoot (10) Bulgarian, yellow tip surplus, and after 100/200 rounds it usually takes appx. 15-20 mins to clean the bore with hot water, Windex, Rim oil. Hasn't been a big deal to clean. I wonder if after cleaning for such a long time if much of your rifleing remains. thanks...enjoyed watching

  • DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO!!!!!! This guy is a fucking dumb ass!!!!

  • What a fucking retard im sry but YOUR A FUCKING DUMB ASS COCK SUCKER. Ya it takes you 20 hours to stretch your asshole out to be able to jam your head up it!!

  • LULZ!!!! I have never seen somebody soo gun-tarded. It must be from bathing in those solvent vapors for 2-3 days at a time.

Never make another vid, my side hurts like mother from laughing so hard

  • how the hell do you clean your gun? 12 hours to clean it once?

    Dude what.

  • get a life 2 days to clean i clen mine in about 20 mins lmao you need to learn what you are talking about bud

  • lol, got a Mosin with a perfect bore...keep telling them jokes, son.

This is what happens when people buy guns without knowing anything about them

  • This is what's known as Gunsterbating. If you can't pronounce the name of the firearm, you have no business talking about it....how many rounds do you think went through those 91/30s before you got a hold of any of them?

  • jack-wagon!

  • A. I doubt you got the gun with the bore is perfect condition and your ridiculous cleaning regimen could not make it so. B. You're an idiot.

  • One more tip... you know the barrel is clean when you can fit a 410 2-3/4 shot shell in it. If a 3" fits, you've gone too far. =Þ

  • I run one wet patch through for every round I shoot. And I run each patch through for one hour straight. So... if I shoot 100 rounds, that's 100 hours of cleaning. Now that's just with wet patches. Then I run dry patches through it until I can start seeing through the barrel. Not all the way through, just a little translucent. I've went through 3 barrels this year and have only shot 500 rounds so far. You think the Russians would have built them a little tougher. =(

  • It would be kinda sad if a weapon made for war and war alone was only able to shoot 50 rounds before NEEDING a cleaning. Takes me about 10 min to clean mine. Its called not being overly anal about a firearm that's lasted almost 70 years and cost $100.

  • I can tell you have no idea what you are talking about... I can strip, clean, and reassemble a weapon in less then 20 minutes. You just go overboard...

  • Just buy a damn bore snake. Cleaner 20 times, wire brush? In the Future plz don't try to give out information about things you really don't know about because I'm sure theres ppl out there doing this stupid kinda shit now too.

  • clean your gun when its hot with sweets I mean hot and u will cut the time cleaning it by 3/4 or more.................yes it works

  • it literally took me 10 minutes to clean 200 rounds out of the barrel, bolt and mag well... You must not know what the hell youre doing with cleaning.

  • Or you could shoot non corrosive ammo and not be fucking retarded.

  • Oh, and you will still need to Windex the bore if you shot corrosive too....for some odd reason...trust me on that one...

  • One of the best, most half assed ways to clean your bore is to run by autozone and buy a can of break cleaner. Pop the top and hose down your bore. I guarantee that after a few seconds your rifle wont even know the meaning of fouling!

You will need to run about half a dozen patches of oil down the bore through, as the method removes any and all trace of moisture and oil from any surface it contacts.

  • im sure all the soldiers of the past follow your method when in combat

  • I shoot corrosive all the time. Household ammonia on the first patch, good scrubbing, then clean as usual.

  • Run warm soapy water through the bore to dissolve the salts and then clean and lube as normal. What a f- tard!

  • Please tell me this video is a joke. Sarcasm? something because you can't be serious. I really do hope noone watches this and takes you seriously.

  • ummmmm, its a mosin man not glass ........

  • What you are experiencing is Humidity, and improper barrel lubrication. Get some barricade it works well for putting it in the closet for a long period of time.

  • I don't know about anyone else but when I take mine out shooting I usually run about 100 to 200 rounds through my mosin nagant 91/30 all I have to do is pour hot soapy water down the barrel then do my usuale cleaning routine and it's fine takes me like 5 or 10 minutes.

  • If it takes you 12 hours to clean a Mosin, does it take you 72 hours to clean an AR?

  • I should have known not to watch this vid...to all of you new shooters, this vid is so full of bull shit...

  • Once getting the cosmoline removed from the rifle they are built to be beaten. The bolt handle was specifically designed to be kicked open with boot, the main action spring is about 40 lbs (way more than enough for this caliber) and they gave it a metal butplate so when empty it turns into a brain basher. The thing was meant to be punished and it handles it just fine. Mine still shoots the same as when I bought it packed full of cosmoline.

  • Try hops # 9 and a bore snake buddy ..... maybe 10-15 mins tops to clean it ...... knowledge is power ...

  • ITS A MILITARY RIFLE IT VIRTUALLY DOES NOT NEED CLEANED!!!!!!!!!! THEIR MADE TO BE BEATEN WORSE THAN AN UGLY STEPCHILD!!!!!!

  • @EnfieldGuy243 actually you need to get the cosmoline off. These rifles have been sittin in heavy packing grease for god knows how long give em a bath and treat em right dammit.

  • @EnfieldGuy243 Not if your shooting corrosive primed ammunition my friend ( which MOST of the surplus ammo is corrosive) That barrel will rust to shit in a month if its NOT cleaned properly ...

  • 2-3 days to clean it.... absolutely ROFLMFAO! please refrain from making gun vids in the future.

  • BORESNAKE

  • Get the bore wet with hoppes #9 then brush or just dry punch. Make sure you dry punch after each wet punch or brush. The brush is going to leave residue every time you stick it in there. Letting the copper solvent bore cleaner sit longer just gets your bore to corrode/disolve so it's always going to come out dirt letting it sit longer than suggested. Sweets is definately going to eat the iron bore. If the patch doesn't come out bluish your bore is clean.

  • I know an armorer from ft benning who can probably do some major gunsmithing in that time,.

hmm maybe take a while soaking for the first cleaning.

bet this dude likes to watch molasses drip

hope he doesnt charge x the hour.

    maybe his head needs soaking

I'm goin to the special video

    hoochbear

  • Kid My 1906 7MM mauser dont take no 12 hrs to clean! Use some Hoppie's and learn what the hell your doing

  • You got gun problems, I feel bad for ya son! I got 99 problems but a gun ain't one! hahaha Dude, 20 hrs is rediculous, get a new mosin and check for pitting when you get it.

  • Dude, if I were you I would delete this video and pretend I never posted it.

  • Dont forget to Scrub behind the ears. Use a new brush every time. or a bore snake but scrub and give it hell, use the crown protector so you can go fast.

  • But back on topic. I have two AR's without chrome lining. One in 5.56 and one in 7.62x39. I shoot hundreds of rounds through each every trip. Solvent through the bore. Run a brush through, Yank a bore snake through it. Oiled patch. Done. All that cleaning will wear the bore out faster than shooting it. You are a fucking idiot!

  • ogghhh and to make double sure i got all the Russian pecker skinning finger prints off the beast I took it down to gray and got a new stock. Left no doubt.....

  • I don't like to shoot a Mosin more than 20 rounds at a time .... and i like to spend like 3 minutes shooting some bore cleaner down the ole' beast. And since i cut he barrel down 7 inches with a 12 dollar cut off saw from HF... then lapped the crown in with a bronze screw and some left over lapping compound in about 43 minutes.... I think your 20 hours might be a touch to much.

  • THANK YOU!!!!..DO YOU THINK THOSE COMMIES WERE TAKING A 12 HOUR BREAK FROM THE WAR CLEANING THEIR RIFLE!!!..USE YOUR HEAD BRO..THATS LIKE POLISHING ALUMIUM WHEELS..YOU WILL GET OXIDIZIATION ON YOUR RAG POLISHING ..FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS,,DOESNT MEAN THE WHEELS ARE STILL DIRTY... 15 MINUTES MAX..AND ITS BACK TO THE GUN SAFE..JUST MY .02!!!!!!!!

  • I just trade mine after i shoot it, saves on cleaning supplies :p

  • Are you using mil surp ammo or something ive never heard of that issue with a mosin but i would say brush the bore before you patch to loosen any fouling and probably cut your cleaning time by about 19-19.5 hours.

  • The OCD is strong with this one! LOL

  • the beauty of the mosin nagant is when it fucks up and stops working, just go get another one

  • who the fuck goes out and shoots 500 rounds.. thats alotta cash

  • @NEodRA6

    7.62x54R is actually $80.00-$90.00 for 440 rounds...

However by the time you shot 500rds through a Mosin in a day you would spend more than that on pain meds and a doctor putting your shoulder back where it's supposed to be.

  • @Asmo6 yea i actually bought a 440 round can for 85 for my 91/30.. ur rite u would be spending more money on pain meds hah

  • Yeah you musta been ripped off buddy. Mosin barrels can handle just about anything. It's a goddamn battle rifle. This prick is lying.

  • Make a make-shift oven with two metal trash cans and a heating lamp through the top and put you mosin in it with NO AMMO in the gun, bolt out and the barrel down. Easiest way to clean a mosin.

  • Can you take this stupid ass video off LMAO i just got my mosin and have put 80 rounds every day for the past week. No fowling at all. Bore is as clean as a virgin!!!! WTF are you talking about?

  • the gun will shoot until it rusts through...maybe in 2098

  • Probably because you've got a crappy bore. Pitting holds fouling. Clean up time gives a pretty good indication of bore condition.

  • its a mosin, if it fucks up buy another one.

  • im worried about the likes on this vid, this is clear he read the box on his beloved solvent, but has other guns, lol this is defenitly timmys first, and hes been up 12 hours a day watching gun porn, moms in bed,he wants to be a mam .take the fire arm back, very carefully.lol and go get a girlfriend, very carefully.hahahah defently dudes first gun.probably hasnt shot it yet and going cookoo.lol cant wait to share this for a laugh.

  • what an idiot.not even worth argueing with, hoppers 9,bore snake, rem oil a coat hanger and a snot rag ,with snot can do it in ten.lol shit.this kid squirms so much he either has to go potty or hes scared .two reosons why someone should take his rifle away and put it on top of the fridge till he can see over the top.hah!

  • Son, its a rifle not a prom dress. The corrosive salts are neutralized almost instantly on contact with hoppes 9 due to the large quantities of ammonia in it.

  • I've had a mosin nagant since I was 12, ( 7 years ago) I have shot countless rounds through it..and I have hardly ever cleaned it. It's like an AK if I wanted to I could run in through sand and clean my gun with a freakin boot lace and it would shoot excellently. ALSO are you smoking? I can DCOA mine with a DETAILED cleaning in like an hour - an hour and a half.

  • The longest I have EVER had to spend on cleaning ANY gun was an hour...You CAN DAMAGE A BORE WITH OVER CLEANING. Get some hoppes no.9, dip a brass brush in it and run it through the bore a few times, let it soak in the bore for a minute or so and run rem oil soaked patches through until it is comes out clean, then run 3 dry patches. Make sure you use windex or warm water ASAP when cleaning a gun that has used corrosive ammo (alot of cheap mosin ammo is corrosive). You have to dissolve the salts.

  • yeah, im sure the guys fighting in stalingrad cleaned their mosin's religiously after only 50 rounds...thumbs down

  • @pdivizzle0112 I was thinking the same thing myself.

"Well, I had a perfect shot at a Nazi, but I already shot 50 rounds so I decided to clean my gun instead."

  • I use a bore snake in 30. caliber with Rem oil. About 1 minute does it.

  • really? I call bullshit, it takes no more than an hour to clean a gun with hoppes no.9, what are you using?

  • So at first I was concerned, I plane to buy a Nagant as a first gun due to budget restraints. But then he started talking and I'm like, what is this bullshit I don't even. He doesn't even sound confident in himself, and like he' trying waay too hard.

  • 2-3 days to clean it? o.O you're doin' it wrong son...

  • hes running his mosin with the 1 solvent

  • Anyway someone post a video how to quickly clean a Mosin-Nagant?

  • It takes you all day because you don't know how to clean a gun.

  • Twelve hours to properly clean this weapon? Average person could run 4 patches per minute, 240 per hour, 2880 for twelve hours, $3.99 per 100 ct. or $123.81 (includes tax). About 1/10 ounce of oil per patch, 288 ounces of oil which is 288 bottles at $1.50 each or $462.24 (includes tax). So every time you clean your $100 gun you spend $586.05

  • Yer gonna scrub the rifling right outta that bore, kid.

  • 12 hours for 20 patches??

  • you are in need of some growing up and learning how to handle a firearm...you waste time on cleaning a gun bc you have nothing better to do in your grandmothers basement. i have yet to find a video of yours with any useful let alone correct information...just turn off your internet

  • Dude you can shoot an AK forever without having to clean it...fail

  • Stupid FUCKING IGNORANT BEETCH, IN SOVIET RUSSIA, THE NAGANT MAKES YOU ITS BEETCH!! Happy Sore Assholes Everyone!

  • 441 videos of bullshit. and over 1800 people sub to this idiot. omg

  • ok maybe if the us army wanted you to clean it would take that long but just run a few patches and a bore brush through and its good... if your trying to get every damn pice of carbon out well good luck youll be there for ever, your nuts!

  • 12 hours over 3 days? What are you using to clean it? Individual strands of human hair?

  • cleaning my mosin takes about 10 minutes

  • @wild50gunner less then that if your really in a hurry

  • @wild50gunner how do you clean it?

  • @LtSgt5 a cleaning swab soaked with water will disolve the corrosive salts, keep junning the wet patches through untill they are clean then run a few dry patches through until the barrel is dry and then I run an oily patch through to protect against rust, thats pretty much all there is to do for cleaning a mossin barrel.

  • @wild50gunner

i go out, and take my mosin, and bring about 50 rounds just for hitting 300yard+targets, and then, when my barrle is significantly heated up to where long range accuracy is n ow shit, i simply start shoot 1gallons at 50-100 yards, or shooting old road signs at 50 yards, just for shits'n'giggles, it is not unheard of for me to go though a entire spam can in a single sitting, and it takes me roughly 20-30 minutes to clean.uploader, learn to clean your firearms in a timely manner.

  • Using surplus ammo and clean time = 10 or 20 minutes top

  • Try this: after shooting every fifty rounds, attatch a piece of 120 grit sandpaper to a bore rod and a high speed drill. Run a little cutting oil down the barrel while cleaning for no less than a minute between at least ten changes of paper. When finished, rinse out and run a patch through. 100% guaranteed clean barrel in 20 min tops. If you can look down the barrel and actually see the shine of a round you know you got it clean. Try this and let us know how it works out.

  • vasily did not kill 800 ppl by stopping to clean every 50 rounds. he's the real expert.

  • So what your saying is I shoot 100 rounds its gonna take me 12 hours to "properly " clean the bore of my $100 gun? Brake cleaner, hopps. #9 clean patch after 4. Done in 20 minutes. I've been doing it wrong this whole time?? All surplus ammo is corrosive because of the primer. Ammonia or Windex will simplify your process.

  • greenish blue? what?

  • I'm sorry, did you say two or three DAYS?!?! I use Czech Surplus in my SKS (Not lined) and I shoot 100+ rounds through it and it takes 30-45 minutes. I think you need to learn how to clean your guns buddy

  • Yeah bro, these rifles were never designed to fire more than 50 rounds without cleaning it..........................

  • I can effectively clean my mosin in about 20 minutes. Hot water, windex if you're paranoid, water again, and rem-oil... done.

  • Wow, thanks for the info...I've got three of the 91/30 with more than 1500 rounds thru each. I've been doing it all wrong. Thanks again for the enlightenment!

  • You spent 12 hours because you don't know what you are doing.... stop bitching and look up a cleaning video...

  • i can put a good 300 down range and not have this problem , maybe its your ammo? do you buy standard issue russian military rounds? or wolf ammo, because it might be what ammo you use.

  • Lad, thousands and thousand of very dead germans would probably disagree with you. I've watched a couple of you videos, and for what they are and presume to be they are not bad. Yet you need to be sure you don't do things like this that make you look the complete fool. Certainly a chrome bore is nice and I have several and shot several in my many years in the military, but a basic bore is fine for shooting hundreds of rounds. It's just harder to clean.

  • The gun costs 80 bucks. Who cares? So the barrel fouls out... so what? Just buy another one! There's literally tens of millions of these old warhorses on the market and you can get 'em dirt cheap. A crate of rounds costs more than the gun!

  • Wow! You caught a lot of shit for this vid huh? Ik what you mean though. I put 60 rounds of surplus corrosive through mine when I first got it. It seemed like I was putting patches through it forever before they came out clean!

  • Shoot the gun, clean the gun... it's that easy. With corrosive ammo, as long as you get most of the burnt powder out of the barrel and off the bolt as soon as possible and keep some oil on it, it's not a problem. New ammo isn't a problem at all.

People complain all the time about corrosive ammo and would rather pay $1 per round for S&B (which is fine for hunting or long range practice). I pay 18 cents per round and become a better marksman with more practice ammo. Clean the damn rifle.

  • God forbid this guy ever buy an AR-15. He will probably spend a year cleaning it after shooting his first five round group out of it.

  • LOL. one round of non corrosive and it's time to clean the bore? Really? Are you really that Low-wattage of a child? And there is no reason to clean a rifle for days unless you're really doing it wrong.

  • you dumb fuck I put more than 1,000 rounds through my mosin nagant in a day, all well corrosive ammo, and i didnt clean it until the next day at night, my gun still shoots fine, perfectly fine. And I bought the gun for 100 dollars at cabelas. Im 14 and I know better than you, the proof about the 1000 rounds thing is on my channel, well it doesnt show all 1,000 rounds but at that point it was at the 500 range

  • lol. this gun shot shit ammo all through ww2 with only pissing on it to clean. what a phaggot.

  • It's also amazing how the military members who used these rifles shot way more than 50 rounds through them while fighting without cleaning them. What is really amazing about this is the amount of these firearms used in combat that have great bores... Geeeesh get educated a bit befor eyou make a video.

  • It's just amazing how many people can put things on youtube when they are so mis informed...

  • You do know that scrubbing and polishing the shit out of antique's, depreciates their value considerably....right?

  • Honestly...if you've spent 12 hours cleaning that pipe out and wire brushing it that anally I'm guessing you've completely ruined the crown of that rifle.

  • you are extremly ocd, it takes me tops and hr to clean my mosin after shooting over 100+ rounds and thats includes taking everything aparting and polishing the wood, work smarter not harder....you make mosin folks look bad
