  • From an American, your American accent is pretty dang good.

  • who cares what accent you have, as long as you speak English you will get far.

  • ya did amazing at the american accent but like someone else said before it did slip a few times. but you did the best job that I've seen so far. =D

We do say umms, uhs, and the word like .......A LOT!! I cant even begin to tell how many times i hear us say like.

  • Lol i liked the british accent. Never heard of hungarian (sp?).. haha but i think i've heard that accent before. you did the american pretty well i think. Lol i dont know what us americans sound like though. xD

  • I am American myself and the good thing about being american is that everone kinda has a slight accent these days aha soo yea ur accent is kinda good just watch how u say bye ur B is a little Hard :)

  • Your American accent sounds southwestern, lol.

  • thats a fine british btich

  • thought both were good, but I prefer your British accent :)

  • not so upp i and american dont talk so deep

  • ur american accent needs some work (im american)

  • (I'm american) you definitely had your up and downs, some of it sounded well uh very mixed lol but overall pretty good! :)

  • Your British accent is quite good, but your accent slips through a little sometimes -- You're American is really good as well [but I'm british, so I'm not sure]

  • thank you:) Can I ask you something?I read in this site that British people get offended when people imitate their accents .. Would I offend people if I talked like that in England? :P

  • im american, but i don't like my accent or the typical accent, but your american accent was really nice. it wasn't perfect, but it sounds pretty. i also though your brit accent was on spot.

  • I thought your were british until you said you weren't. I live in New York and can't do a british accent at all. I don't notice but do Americans really use umms, ahs, and uhs that often?

  • yes , you do ,i don't know if its because youre thinking of what to say or you just say it :p

  • wow u r good at the accents

  • Your American accent isn't bad, but you over-pronounced your "o"s. We tend to pronounce our "o"s more airy, you pronounced it more like an "oo" sound.

  • 1:50 'courage' was a little off. But seriously, that was pretty much perfect.

  • lol, its funny to see English people struggle to talk like us. very good job.

  • thanks ,im not english though :)

  • Well don't leave us in suspense. Tell us where you're from! I mean you don't have to narrow it down to a particular town. I'm fascinated by all the different accents in the British Isles. I mean, I can tell an Irish accent from an English, I guess, and maybe a Scots from an Irish. But basically I'm lost. I do notice a difference between the Beatles' accent, who are from Liverpool, and the Rolling Stones, who are native Londoners. Monty Python do all kinds of UK accents, I believe.

    Nice video!

  • haha i knoww :D

  • Lol that sounds just like American.

Its hard for us Americans to do British or Australian accents though

  • the british accent was really good, but the american was not so good.

  • British. You suck at american

You cant do it like us americans ;]

  • Yeah but you suck at doing our accents we do yours much better.

  • Not bad american. I could tell where you would slip out if it or over do it a bit but that was pretty darn good.

  • i over - do it? where? :(

    thanks anyway

  • It was very good but it seems like you have the same problem as all the other people have when they attempt the american accent, u all sound really tired or bord

  • еrm .. well i guess thats how americans sound to me..

no offence ,but where else would the people who attempt the accent get it from? :)

  • hmm,,, interesting.

PooPoo2U, can u please explain why on some computer programs, when you choose your langauge, there is an american flag next to the word "english"

i thought that english came from england, so why the hell would they put a american flag there?

seeing as YOU have the degree, i thought u may be able to tell me

  • UKLodder to answer your question....

--Youtube was created in the United States

--Internet is mostly controlled and dominitaed by the US

--our computers and software in them were created in the United States hp,dell, gateway etc

  • and only one other small problem: there's no such thing as an "american accent"

  • what do you mean?

do you feel better if i say "american pronouncation" ? :)

its just because england is an older country than usa so technically there's no such thing as a british accent ,only an american ,cause the british prononuncation came first.

i may be wrong ,but thats the way i see it.

  • no, when i say there's no such thing as an "american accent", what i mean is that there is no standard american dialect or accent. we have "joisey" accents, cajun accents, southern drawls, latino accents, semi-canadian minnesota accents, flat massachusetts accents, california accents, mississippi stammers, and countless others. britain is so small it only has a few, but they're so similar they blend to one. in america there are so many that there is no "standard" amongst them.

  • O___O uum .. wow.ok ,ill give you that.

  • salright, it's a common misconception. what's even more ironic is that the common american dialect (the normal american you're talking) is actually known as "flat english", because it actually originated in britain as well, so when referring to american english versus british, they're both actually british.

  • are you KIDDING? england has more dialects than we do. nearly every county has its own fucking dialect.

  • yea, i'm sure you're right. a country of 16 million MUST logically have more accents than a country of 307 million. i mean, the fact that the UK is 1/42nd the size of the US surely bolsters that type of logic.

I must just need to go re-assess the subject I have a master's degree in, because i obviously know nothing about languages, being a linguist and all. hmm...

  • ah, got me there. but to say they're all the same that they just 'blend together' is a bit unrealistic. i can tell distinct differences with a ton of english accents, just as easily as i can decipher the difference between new jersey and southern accents.

  • Well if you say it like that pal there is not such thing as a Scottish accent then. Witch they are and there is an American accent too.

  • i don't recall ever saying a thing about scottish accents, because i was referring to britain, not the entire uk. and since you're so intent on saying there is an "american accent", post a video of what it sounds like. good luck blending every different accent in america into one that can be distinguished as all of them. it's impossible, because you're wrong.

  • Well yeah, yeah they is such a thing.

  • @PooPoo2U there your at it again your such a twat there is so I have even when to my uni's language techer and asked her she said in nicer words "you talk shit pal"

  • @OkFuckYou41: it's as simple as going on google. type "american accents", and if you're correct and there is an all-consuming american accent, nothing will come up. until then, don't reply to me, because you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • your british sounds more like australian

  • Very good!!!

  • Wow, both of your Brit and American accents are really good! I'm from America and you really got me thinking that you were a Brit at first! Then you did the American accent which kinda blew me away, too! Where did you pick up the American accent?

  • hm , tv i guess :) thank you all for the nice comments!

  • Wow, your English accent is great! I thought it it was real.

  • this was a very good!!!

  • this is the most accurate video ive seen!! thanks for not interpreting the american accent to be as a hick or a "valley girl" cause we really dont talk that way even though other cultures think we do. good job!

  • wow nice American accent.

  • the british is a bit australian and the american is kinda off.. but good attempts! i like the british better- u pretty much had me fooled.

  • wow you accent is great.

  • OMG..your English is very good

  • you are sooo good at accents

  • Great video and very good witht he accents. =D

  • very good only its pretty annoying to turn my head sideways......cant you turn the picture around?

  • blah I tried to rotate the video and I deleted it and uploaded it over and over again but even if i succeeded to turn it around youtube couldn't upload it .. sorryz ;[

  • GREAT! I'm American, and I think that your being Bulgarian gives you a better perspective. You're not biased. Good job!

  • Wow that was very good

  • your british accent sounds like ur from there ! but i like your amercan one better becasue thats what i sound like lol

  • Your not american! NO WAY!

    you sound american ahaha

  • I can talk in Bulgarian if you want to hear me =p Thanks for the sweet comments ,I appreciate it{}

  • can you speak in your normal voice too?

    lol

  • I can talk 10 diffrent languages.

  • I can speak 7 different languages too. But your awesome.

  • Wow, you seriously aren't american?

  • That was rad! I thought it was going to be an English person doing an American accent. But no! It was a Bulgarian doing an English person doing an American accent. Okay, okay, maybe it was just a Bulgarian doing an American and an English accent, but that would be cool to link multiple accents to / through each other. Best of luck to you.

  • That was pretty good i honestly couldn't really hear any mistakes or anything.

  • tnx to all of u xD

  • im english and I didnt think much of your english, I didnt realise you were putting on an english accent and I thought you were from latvia

your americian accent was quite good

  • lol that made me laugh a little :) Do the british accent. I hope you get more views on your vid and make more!!! I know it takes courage to do it but you're a natural lata
