Downloading and Syncing Tones from Custom Tone with Line 6 Edit into a POD XT Live

Hey I'm sorry but my Line 6 Spider IV 120 just arrived today and I've already been trying to explore the insane amount of stuff you can do with this amazing amp. All the presets are great and I've never seen this much variety on an amp, but I just couldn't keep myself from seeing the tones created by users and downloading them. My problem is that I don't know how to get it on my amp. I'm new to this, please explain in detail. I don't know which ports to use and such.

@jikarpert yes , I got one about 5 days ago myself and it worked just fine. I was able to get every guitar tone and all that its really amazing.

i have a line 6 spider IV 15 watt amp. am i able to download tones using a FBV MKII pedal. or is there another way that i can download tones from the custom tones website?

@Review105 to open Line 6 edit and all that it has to detect a line 6 product otherwise it wont even let you in the program.... so yes.

I have a line 6 15 watt amp without a screen will it still work (no I'm not poor)

@Review105 unfortunately no. That amp doesn't sport a USB or MIDI jack to allow you to connect it your computer for deep editing. Check out the newer Spider IV 75 models and up for this.

@Review105 If you're not poor you wouldn't have wasted money on a 15 watt amp. The 75 watt and up amps are the real deal.

I desperately wish to sync custom tones with my POD XT Live floorpedal, but I cannot find any compatible software. I have Mac OSX Snow Leopard and Windows 7 machines, but neither appear to be supported.

Any advice?

@jckbac9 Audacity is one ... Acid Pro , Propellerhead Reason , Cakewalk .. many. Audacity is free by the way.

for Mac , Garageband I believe its called.
