You should lower a bit you expectations. I've followed Tiago since he was 18, i love his game, focus, determination and all. I'm sure he'll contribute to make the Spurs more competitive this year but he's not going to abuse anybody nor be the center of the next decade.

Second of all I'm going off what our GM R.C Buford said and considering him and our organization is the best in the league as far as the past decade anyway (rated by Forbes magazine and NBA.com) and they have seen him play in person I wouldn't doubt them, but they could be wrong and so could I considering he did win finals mvp in his league.

You are saying this because you don't know the clauses. Spurs could only have paid 800K and Splitter needs to pay 1 million to TAU only to break the contract, money that he would to pay himself, costing him money in the beggining. Also, he's making more than 5 million/year. Popovich already said that he would be crazy to go to NBA at that moment.
Also, he would leave a team being a star to hardly play 10 minutes a game in the beggining.
