please someone answer im going 2 buy a motorcykle i am 13 haw riden since i was 7 wat should i get i wil be riding enduro and im 157 cm crf 150 or wr 250
@itschipark lol it's a 4 stroke. 4's sound way different from 2's, but you should be able to tell before he even starts it. A 2 stroke would have a large expansion chamber, not the skinny pipe you see coming out of the engine.
well, my wr is a great bike in the woods now. do you ride mostly track or trail? and how long are you planning on keeping this bike? 125R's are alot of fun to ride but they are a lot of work to go the same speed as the 250f guys. You will become a much better rider though, and if you switch to a 4T later on you will see great improvement. The 250F's are both great easy to ride and easy to get fast on. There isnt a whole lot of difference between the CRF250X and WR250f..
by the endpiece you mean the insert? i would def take it out. in this video i have a GYTR insert. It is slightly less restrictive. but now i run a YZ pipe or the stock wr pipe with no insert when i need a spark arrester..If you run the stock insert you will be losing alot of the WR's potential.
you wont go wrong with the wr250f, it really is the better bike this year. that being said no major changes have been made since the realese of the 2007 model. and its stick kicking arse and winning shoot outs,
try checking some enduro race results. over here the yammys are killing it this year.
i wouldnt ride it on tthe road if you get one. the engine isnt designed to sit on a certain amount of KM/h's for long periods of time and dosent like sitting on the same revs. when my dad asked the dealer about this he said he wouldnt give him 5 grand for it after one month of riding it on the road after being bought brand new.
well, anyone you ask will say yz250f if they ride motocross or wr250f if they ride trails, but really for me i just wanted a bike that could hold its own for not to much maintence, My WR does just that. I ride with a couple people with YZF's and they wish they had gone with WRF's. But if your going to get into motocross maybe the YZF is for you.
so wat is the difference in these and the yz250 engine apart form the obv which is the lights and clock of milage reader, is it the same engine as ive just put in for my test and im hoping to put a yz250f on the road...
well, the engine itself is just about the same after you unplug the wr. I think the real only diffrence is the way the gearing is set up and the suspension set up. I also will be plating my wr250f and 426f probably next summer, tell me how yours turns out.
thanks man i have the bike already im just waiting to sit my test its a 04 yz250f great condition, wat do u meen by unplugg is the wr restricted compared with the yzf? well i will let u kno how it goes m8 and ill have to put a video up im looking for 1 of them helmet cams aswell...
yes stock the WR comes pretty restricted, to meet emissions but after a lil work it has practicaly the same engine as the YZF just a diffrent gearing. And to unplug it is free too. All you got to do is unplug the grey wire, open the airbox, cut the throttle stop, take out the restrictor plug in the pipe (if thats to loud u can get a GYTR insert) they are pretty cheap too. I may be forgeting one or two but after all the free mods the bike rips. Yeah i dont have a helmet cam yet sorry.
i already have the yzf i was jw man cuz tht wr sounds waaaay quiter then my yzf but thts cool im gonna SM my yx250f n put her on the road 4 a bit.....
i like it. Its pretty much stock tho exept for GYTR insert,YZ throttle stop and all the free mods (which help alot on the WR's) And now i got some moose barkbusters cuz i dont want any broken fingers now lol

ok i have a stock exhaust on my 2003 yamaha wr 250f. i was taking off the end piece but the bolts broke how can i reattach it again??

I have heard that you need to give the WR 250 alot of throttle for it to have some serious power. Im torn between CRF 250x and WR 250
