I think what you're saying is true on some level - but it's not necessarily right. A lot of women on online dating are FAR too picky, I've been on and off OkCupid for maybe 18 months now and there are the same women on from when I first created my profile and these women go on several times a week. So we can safely assume something is not working for them. Women get 10x more messages than men on online dating, but this doesn't mean anything, it's just a reflection of how dating operates.

I would advise that men pursue women out in the real world rather than online for these reasons-1) Most women lie about something on their profile. Either picture, her stated personality, what she is looking for, age etc. 2) Most women are so apprehensive about meeting men online, that meeting them is a daunting task. 3) Generally it isn't worth the large time investment required for success. Most women simply will not be able to choose from the 50+ messages they get per week. Prepare to wait.

Online dating usually doesn't work because there is always at least one party that doesn't want to take it serious. Online dating works easier for older single people because they are less picky. Except men are more picky when they get older and less when they are younger. Women are more picky when younger and less when older.

I am a guy and would like to add another tip: this is an online brochure. Often times I read women's profiles and they like a laundry list. "My Ideal man is [insert 14 attributes]". Remember ladies, unless your requirements are non negotiable, the point of your profile is to generate interest. Once they are interested in you, it is easy to look at their profile and determine if they meet your criteria. Also, any negativity should remain off of the page. Such as "I can't stand men who lie".

I dont agree...there are much simpler ways of dating ...like mine - I use Bluepont on my cell - my cell plays music when a girl is nearby and also looking, we send texts to each other and sometimes they are up for a meeting then and there. It does not feel so awkward to start a conversation that way.
