  • I wish the next psp would be touchscreen but with an on and off switch for playing touch and pad :D that would be awesome

  • Also IIDX's restriction works out much better for people starting the same. If songs only go to level 8, then beginners have access to a good variety to move up with. And getting to 8 takes a pretty good amount of time anyway.

This game restricts in an almost random way and with the library of songs from all their PSP games, I expected more than the spittle on this cab.

  • and the library of songs for IIDX are like 70% boring and uninteresting songs. I don't get why anyone would care about having more songs when most of them are boring. Nearly all of Technika's songs are good to me, I feel like Technika/DJ MAX has MORE songs.

  • @DJMamu This is all opinion, people may prefer the songs in IIDX than Technika.

  • Well obviously it's all opinion. I was just stating mine.

  • This game fails for not having Free Play mode (not talking about cost to play) like on the PSP. Having each stage restrict the songs you can play is pure fail. Imagine having your sets restricted on Pop N or IIDX. Lame. Interface is nice but with a really tiny song selection the worst thing they could do is limit the combination of songs you can play.

  • IIDX *does* restrict the songs you can play, unless you feel like getting only 2 stages per game (or are connected to e-amuse and can pass the upper level Dan courses)

  • Yea, wow, IIDX does restrict your song choice. It's just that considering it's 17th rendition the song selection's a -little- bigger than Technika.

  • Well they have several games for PSP and the selection on their AC version is quite lacking despite their available library.

  • Well, if you're referring to the PSP's DJ Max's Arcade Modes (You said AC version, so I assumed so. Correct me if I'm wrong~), people usually play on it to unlock songs and such.

If you wanted to play any song in any order at any time, you'd usually go to freestyle mode where you can access 50ish+(If unlocked) songs without limitation.

Though I do agree to some extent that Technika "fails" for not having free play. Other than that though, it's still a fun game~. =]

  • No I mean their Arcade version of a DJ Max game (Technika). Sure, you could say it's a different franchise, but their song pool is only being drawn from the original DJ Max games so I expected a bigger songlist and freestyle to be the default in all modes except Platinum (where I would expect restrictions based on missions).

  • Oh and I do think it's very fun...but it's hard to get better at the game when I'm usually stuck playing songs I don't want to. With IIDX and Pop N years ago I could progress because there was enough choices at each difficulty level for me to stick with songs I liked to encourage me to progress.

  • for me that's what makes technika unique, you have to get better in playing in order to get the song you want to play. and either way, platinum crew mode is really fun, for those who have it. it just drains max points so easily.

  • That's what Platinum Crew is for.

  • IIDX is restricted, 1st stage only goes up to lvl 8, 2nd goes to 10, and final goes up to the full 12. And it's got a great song selection for the first version of the game. And why the hell would they put a free play mode if it's an arcade game? Do you want your local arcade to go broke? Besides if you mean something like event mode then I'm pretty sure they do that for tournaments anyways.

  • Free play meaning current available song list, no stage restrictions (or even better, an unlock code for everything but the online stuff)...of course I don't mean free as in cost to play the game.

  • IIDX restricts song levels playable for each stage according to your dan level.

If you're 8 dan, 10s are playable for the first stage, 9 dan 11s, 10 dan some 12s, and Kaiden all 12s.

Unfortunately, if you live in an area without e-amuse, there's no way to unlock more playable charts for first/second stages.

  • oh man, I'm korean and I knew that from official information. If it's not under 95 in your country, it may be informed wrong, or not updated.

I'm not sure whether it WAS under 90 before the update.

  • I'm not sure. We're getting a new machine in a month. All I know is that the machine we played was under 90%.

  • it requires lower than 95% not 90%

  • Nope, it's under 90.

  • @TasaKun i always thought it was 94% and lower sos tp and 95% and higher sin tp
