Hi! Great tutorial but one problem: Added an ice texture to the map and when I press ctrl + g I am ingame, but the texture is suddenly dark. Nearer you come to the texture, darker gets it :/ how can I solve it?

Another one: When I try to load an other texture than the two in the terrain folder (one folder inside the terrain folder f.E.) I get the following two errors:

Layer texture format introduces quality loss - use lossless format or quality can suffer alot

and

Error while loading the texture !

This 'tutorial' leaves a lot to be desired. I am going to assume that you are capable of improving, and offer some constructive criticism.

First, you are practically mumbling.

Next, you're not explaining what you are doing. Example: "...OK, Terrain, Texture, New...OK, press it up, Load Texture...". How are people supposed to know that one of the little icons above the text box means 'New'? (Great--500 character limit? I can't even finish my post) I wish you luck on future endeavors

As far as I know, hold down the right mouse button, move to the direction you wanna go, then press forwards.

go to where you downloaded and there will be a folder called Sandbox2 double click that, after its installed go to bin32 in the main folder and scroll down till you see Editor, click that

If you haven't installed it yet, go to your crysis DVD, open the Sandbox 2 folder, and install it from there. After that, you can find it in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32 folder, called Editor.exe
