Now here's a "NewsCenter" that's honest about the weather coming first.
In the Mohawk Valley of New York State, our local 6 pm newscast consists of about two minutes hard copy, five minutes fluff, ten minutes commercials and the rest is -- WEATHER! Every four freakin' minutes. And they have the nerve to use this slogan: "NewsChannel 2, where the NEWS (huh??) comes first!"
Not so likely, they dont really have it together on air anymore to accomplish much. There a dead last, and are stuck at that and have been for the past 10 to 15 years.Even though they have the dopplar radar kfdx and kswo still beat them. The owner dosnt put in the time to insure a nice news cast or anything else.
Who is the voiceover on this signoff? Whoever it is has done quite a few news opens for stations around the country - and has gone unidentified.

@raymieX Finally figured it out: likely culprit is John Moore from Cape Girardeau, MO (KFVS is one of his clients).

I am looking for a copy of the Lord's prayer sign off they used to do in the 70's. Any idea where I could find it?

we usually had KAUZ here in Decatur, Texas with the local cable or a with a pretty good e-skip with digital
tornadoguru5 3 years ago
now when they sign off they go to a radar until 5:30 am Monday
tornadoguru5 3 years ago
Actually they did that even then. They cycled through the weather forecast graphics and included the live radar as part of the sequence.
It may or may not have been encouraged by KFDX's weather channel which was on the local cable system at the time.

Even after KAUZ was bought out by Hoak in '03 and a new logo debuted in 2005 they kept that copyright sequence?
sanantonionewsman 3 years ago
No, it was gone by 2005. I think it still may have been in there around '03 though.

Do you have WIBW-TV's sign off from Topeka while they were owned and operated by Benedek Broadcasting?
