  • hard core rouse hahahahah

  • i've seen this act in many birds... he thinks he's "dusting off' or cleaning... funny vid though. i didn't know that raptors did this though

  • @TheDecoyDude : Yes, Raptors bathe on a regular basis. Someone needs to give this little guy a pie tin with 1/2 in of water in it to curve this frustration.

  • @birdmanlv have you ever seen a raptor take a dust bath? a friend of mine who is a falconer has a saker falcon named Jarih that will start shuffiling on the ground whenever we're standing on gravel or sand.

  • lol! she gots some crazy feet :P

  • Even in the most ridiculous act, kestrels can still manage to look incredibly serious. I know a peregrine who would just look kind of sheepish if we caught her in the act.

  • its not dancing silly people, its trying to dust bathe, confusing what its standing on for a pile of dirt lol

  • What's that tied on it's ankles???

  • @soundwavs1961c . there jesses

  • @soundwavs1961c falcinry jesses

  • @soundwavs1961c falconry*

  • its really cute. i might get it when i start falconry. Where can you get one and how much?? and where do you get a falconry

  • @turkeyboy5

lol this is 3 months later, but to answer your questions:

I don't know about other countries, but in America you must first apprentice yourself to an existing licensed falconer, then obtain a license, build a mew (raptor house) and get it certified. THEN you get a bird.

There isn't really a way to legally buy a bird like this. You can obtain an egg from another falconer, a nest, or trap a juvenile. For the last two you would need another permit to take a bird from the wild.

  • He is actually trying to have a bath...our female learned all alone to tap on a bottle full of water when she needed it! I respect nature's choice, they are raptors and do est meat, as horses eat grass and so on.

  • hey nice he's a male right?...mines a male..

  • I think Nanakanisurra said it best with, "What a cute little fluff muffin"!

    I love kestrels!

  • lol that ak is ace lol

  • ILQUEN!!!

  • This is the funniest dancing bird video I've seen. XD

  • Now that's proven my theory that all birds will dance. What a cute little fluff muffin, even if he does eat meat.

  • Very funny!

  • he think is water on the table lol thats crazy lol That K bird is trippin on Acid lol

  • Actually... that's a kestrel mating ritual XDDDD My little bugger, Hatchet, used to do this on people's heads ^^;

  • I'm glad you said that. I felt sorry for the little guy at first, but now that I know he's not scared or hurting, it's really cute!

  • If that's a hunting k-bird, then what a great way to dull it's talons. Regardless, I'd dust him. He's probably itching with feather lice.

  • haha

  • Does he realize there's no water or dust on the table?

  • thats so cute! great job!
