It is actually very easy. First of all, you have to have a guitar hero guitar that uses a usb wireless dongle. The ps2 and ps3 version of guitar hero 3 come with this dongle. You plug the dongle into a usb slot and turn on the guitar. (You press the home button for the ps3 version.) Then, you start up frets on fire. You go to options then controls, or joystick mappings (something like that.) You just have to set up your guitar to be able to use the frets and strum in-game. Then, your done!
