I loved that they brought this back for the first Galaxy game, and was happy to hear it again in the second. One of the best Bowser themes they ever did, and a lot more iconic than the various castle themes ever were. This just screams "You're in it now, plumber", you know?

The point of this theme is that it's foreboding, intimidating, and gives a sense of hopelessness to the player (which is what any good final stage theme is supposed to do). It's still a good song, but potential-wise, a more barritone chorus would have been a better choice for the feelings it's supposed to convey. I do like how they kept the hook at the very beginning, though. A lot of fan remixes forget that for some reason...

I have to say, I was a little disappointed with the remixes of old songs in SMG2. Not that this version is bad, but the brass section in 0:18 - 0:32 sounded a little off pitch on that high note.

you can do all the same jumping moves, and you need to collect stars to unlock new levels in the game, and theres 120 stars, in it. no extra characters though, but in the ds remake, you can play as luigi, mario, wario or yoshi.

This, in my opinion, is the best version of Bowser's Road; but SM64's is much more haunting, SMG1's is watered down.

Also love the Indian sounding instrument playing during the main section of the song. Mind you, it's quiter in this version
