  • I still have this album on clear red vinyl!!!!!

  • hey guys i found a radio it's radioio.com grunge radio

  • i love how every grunge band i listen to has comments of two people having a full blown conversation . loll .

  • @GHEE4345 bundle of hiss dude.

  • A top comment says this sounds like Layne? No way. Not even close. This is a great SY song...but these guys are easily distinguishable from AIC. At least for me. But then, I'm a pretty huge AIC fan....

  • @PKTrekGirl Agreed I think it sounds more like Weiland or anything. The voice he used to do when people thought he was copying Layne.

  • @PKTrekGirl although they are easily distinguishable from Alice in Chains i have to admit his style of singing reminds me of Layne in Facelift.. not his voice... i think thats what that one guy meant to say... yea Alice iN Chains is the best Grunge band!

  • @junkhead27 I disagree. I believe Pearl Jam is the best grunge band ever. They have been around the longest and have kept popularity and has made new albums since they formed.

  • @ghettsulfer thats cool i can see why you say that, but that's why it's an opinion man... everyone into the seattle sound has their own views or reasons of what the "best grunge band" is to them.. to ME pearl jam is good but if Andrew Wood never had died, Pearl Jam wouldnt exist and we would have Mother Love Bone which would be WAY better.. now because of all that it makes me think Pearl Jam is just good... but again thats just MY opinion lol

  • @junkhead27 But pearl jam was helped formed by Mother Love Bone. Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard joined Pearl Jam.

  • @ghettsulfer Pearl Jam may be good, but Soundgarden is on top of all others. Chris Cornell is the greatest singer from here to anywhere. Best band of the '90s, even though AIC, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana are still good.

  • @ghettsulfer Pearl Jam hasn't been around the longest, they formed in 1990. Tons of grunge bands were around way before that. Jeff and Stone used to be members of Green River and Mother Love Bone in the 80's.

  • @onestep2farclown That's not what I'm saying. Those bands aren't popular or even around anymore.

  • @ghettsulfer Oh, you meant who has lasted the longest. Alright, gotcha.

That would be Pearl Jam and Mudhoney then.

  • @onestep2farclown

    Yessir! Haha.

  • @onestep2farclown Who has been around longer than pearl jam from the so-called grunge era? Mudhoney is all i can think of. I cant think of tons at all, can you!?

  • @ikeano29 Look down the page, I already answered.

  • @onestep2farclown Yeah, so they have lasted the longest.

  • @ikeano29 Yes, but second behind Mudhoney, who have been around longer.

  • @ikeano29 Melvins have been around 7 years longer than Pear Jam

  • @ikeano29 The Wipers.....

  • @obitobi100 I define grunge as movement rather than a style of music. Personally i wouldnt put the wipers in that movement, i would only have bands from seattle in there, like the manchester movement of the late 80s and liverpool movement of the 60s.

Also, the wipers last album was around 15 years ago!!

  • @ikeano29 are you kidding me?? what about green river?..

  • @takethisoops Am i kidding you about what? What about green river???

  • @ikeano29 no about pearl jam lol like that guy down there said the melvins were around way before pearl jam and so were green river (thats what i meant..) and a bunch of other bands thats helped the grunge movement :)

  • @ghettsulfer Nirvana,Soundgarden,Alice in Chains, were better than Pearl Jam.Some record producer said these guys sounded better than Nirvana.Cant see it myself but this is real music to.I love the music from USA.Its better than the music of the UK

  • @junkhead27 Yeah...if that's what he meant, I can buy into that - but only with regards to style on Facelift. The voice though? No way. There is only one Layne! Admittedly, I am biased because I LOVED (and continue to love) Layne...but they don't sound that similar to me. Wouldn't surprise me if Layne liked these guys and might have listed them as an influence though....

  • @PKTrekGirl yea i dont think they sound the same either. maybe just in the beginning of the song lol but i agree with you! hell, Layne is one of my favorite singers!

  • @GHEE4345 You're gonna have to listen to Gruntruck then too. Check out PAW, TAD, Hammerbox, Coffin Break, Sister Psychic (might be too mellow but I liked them back in the day), Green River, Melvins. There is just so many that I miss!

  • @GHEE4345 verbena, local h, green river, possibly "mother love bone" but i dont really like them much at all also tad, babes in toyland, L7 all of its pretty good just good ol' grunge music

  • @GHEE4345 Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Mad Season, Temple of the Dog.

  • my personal favorite grunge band. So groovy and raw and loud. the only other grunge band I love as much as these guys is Muzza Chunka

  • grunge yeah!

  • Listened to these guys alot back in the late 80's

  • amzaing band

  • amzaing !

  • is this ben mcmillian singing

  • @Wesson4 Yes with Endino on backing vocals

  • @Wesson4 Yep!

  • @kryptx why did these guys break up. I know Ben did Gruntruck. Personally I like gruntruck way more.

But Skin Yard is pretty sick

  • @Wesson4 I don't know but I consider Gruntruck to be one of the true "grunge" bands! Their sound was awesome!

  • good grunge

  • JACK ENDINO.

  • this album rocks, ive worn it out mant times

  • i got this album yesterday while looking for Mudhoney and Melvins albums and I suprisingly came across this i had heard of Skinyard but never heard them so i bought this and have been satisfied ever since :)

  • best guitar band!

  • i found this cd at a dollar store years ago.

  • That's pretty awesome, but I still like Alice in Chains better.

  • Wow, this is kickass.

  • fucking cool

  • bruce dickinson has a t-shirt with skin yard , when he sang Tears of the Dragon in Sao Paolo, Brazil, in 2007 with Tribuzy.

  • sweet kicks, learned about u from a Nirvana Youtube Doc

  • "Skin Yard : Inside the Eye" (1993)

  • that's cute.. i remember my first Grunge band.. \m/

  • The singer's voice reminds me of Layne Staley. But just a little bit :P

  • yea i can see where ud get that

  • @Tsuta I was just about to say the same thing.

  • @Tsuta Reverse that statement more or less...

  • Saw these guys play at Evergreen in Oly in, oh, 1991? Awesome! :)

  • Skin Yard!

  • Skin Yard Rule!!!

  • Comment removed

  • They were popular in the mid to late 80s', they just never really got played on the radio. They're known as one of the godfathers of grunge, same with Green River, and The Melvins who were also great.

  • @LqrDrnkr757 Also, it's very interesting, that they had drummers, who later played in well-known grunge bands: Cameron from Soundgarden, Finn from Love Battery, GIlmore from Mother Love Bone, Martin from Screaming Trees.

  • @jambii Nope.

  • @slideon dude. agreed.

  • @slideon

    What???? You are insane??

Yeah skin yard is good but nirvana was great....

Kurt Cobain 12Th best guitarrist on the world

    Dave Grohl 9Th best drummer

    Krist Novoselic 9Th best bassist

The songs was raw and chaotic like his life....

and u come and tell that the skin yard is better??

  • @empty179 Lol, do you realy belive Dave is 9th best, have you seen or heard all the others, same to Kurt and Krist. LOL, this is just stupid list, have your own opinion.

  • @empty179 lol i dont like grunge anymore i only liked nirvana really but not anymore, im a guitarist and kurt cobain is not even in the top 100 or 200 of greatest guitarists if you play guitar nirvana songs are really easy

  • @empty179 Your flawed opinion aside, please learn some grammar so you at least have some credibility when you make such a heavy claim.

  • @empty179 skin yards better

  • @empty179 Wait.. How the hell can Kurt Cobain be the number 12th best guitarist in the world?!

  • @voro122 Fuck... I dunno, I love the man and even I'm unsure.

  • @voro122 hes not really,he changed my life though, the guitarist for this band produced bleach though

  • yeah this is 1988 or somethin...maybe alice heard them and changed their sound...cuz...alice in chains were glam before they got all grunged out

  • yeah, but alot like soundgarden to. its a intersting band thats for shure

buts thats a good thing ;)

  • well yeah cameron was their drummer until he joined soundgarden

  • @slideon and... Pearl Jam.. Afterwards.

  • @RAWRxItzReggie and....Wellwater Conspiracy and......Temple Of The Dog

  • @TheDivNiv I luv Temple Of The Dog! Chris Cornell+Eddie Vedder= BOOM ! BLEW YOUR MIND!!

  • @blackscarlet512 soundgarden is great!

  • defenitly !! vocal harmonics tune and chords reminding Aliceinchains BIGTIME !! but it is totally ok :) both are good , and influance is always there .

  • the guitar sounds a bit like alice in chains

  • they kind of have an alice in chains feel to it

  • other way round lol

  • QUE CHINGONA ROLA 5 ESTRELLAS

  • Wat can i say they r awesome

  • I really like this band and I have this album but there are no lyrics. Does anyone know the lyrics to this song? it's hard to figure them out.

  • Skin Yard...Only thing I can say is that they're just fucking SICK!!

  • fucking great

  • Hell yeah! turn this up!
