there's no point in discussing this because obviously its just a fun thing that a pretty good tuba player did for an 8th grade band to give them the experience of accompanying a soloist. its fun, and its cute, so dont' theres no point in bragging or critiquing.
haha i learned this on my tuba in 3 weeks, i'm in 8th grade by the way, and i did this MUCH better, like it was 2 times faster and i didn't mess up at ALL, i played it for a solo competition and got Superior
i dnt suck, i'm not the best, but i dnt suck, i'm on to better things, i dnt like those solo's anymore, offbeat is what's more fun, much more of a challange, and sorry about bein cocky bout that, that was when i was less mature and didn't really thing things through, i'm also not really into band nemore, choir much more fun
Remember, speed is not everything, style and tone play a much bigger role in being good. Yes, he could have played it faster, but it would not have been nearly as stylistic. I'm a freshman and am playing this solo this year (on tuba of course), and as far as I can see, his style and tone are amazing. I will probably try to learn from this recording.
it is a good song, i enjoyed it a whole lot and hope u enjoyed it if u took the time to learn it, like i said above on reply to stevedeath, srry bout acting all cocky n tough
We had this piece at our Youth Band, We learned in only in 4 weeks and it came out a lot better than this. There's one trumpet player that always goes above the band, kinda annoying...
the tuba is the only good player there.
