nah, an essence isnt necessary, but it helps if you are a little new to the whole keeping SF up.. as SF recharges quicker :) also provides a nice speed buff throughout the run :P

true but without essence you will have to echo SF to keep it up hence you are not echoing CoP therefore takes longer :P

actualy switching out radiations a horrible idea get atleast 3 vipers doesnt work on grasping so it would take alot longer to clear out the chamber
