  • Event u think the sixes can make the playlets this year they are playin better

  • @dontizzle805

I think it's a little early to tell. They're still beating up on under 500 teams. They've beaten some contenders, but not consistently. If they want to make the playoffs, they'll have to really turn it on after the all star game.

  • We all know bosh is a punk thats why his nickname gone forever be dr soft...but aye why pick a fight with the leading scorer in the nba.....as for the eddie house thing it is what is im not a eddie house fan but that tech was bullshit I wanna see how many fines and techs are gonna be thrown out once the playoffs come they gone have to lean back on calling them so easy cause dudes play with emotion in the playoffs and thats not good for the sport if they judge it so strictly as for probowl whack

  • @lbpmrb

That's what I don't understand, why would Bosh pick a fight with the leading scorer in the NBA? Bosh is nowhere near Durant's level. And I'm sure a number of techs ill be discarded before the playoffs, because Stern needs his stars to generate drama and money for the league. Playoffs for the NBA is like sweeps week for regular TV shows.

  • personally, this was my final straw for stern. no matter how much i hate that punk ass bastard eddie house, he did not deserve a fine, i have seen kobe do that celebration about 3-4 times over the years, and sam cassell 3-4 times a year! i have never seen anyone ball tap anyone. no one goes there. to me, garnett should have been suspended, against the lakers, a game that mattered (to prove a point that he cant do stupid shit like this) , and fined 25+k. stern has his head up his ass.

  • @lakerstrufan24

I think House can shoot the lights out if you give him a chance. Reminds me a couple years ago of what Quentin Richardson could have been. Stern has made the NBA such a mockery that it's pathetic. He needs to let the players play, that mean bringing back hand checking. Not giving stars a break when you know they've traveled or fouled someone. Rookies shouldn't have to EARN their calls. Call it like it should be done fairly.

  • oh and i have a question for you. idk if you watch pti on espn. but they had a video today of kg during the blowout loss to the suns, ball tapping a guy on a 3 pointer. they saw it, phx sent it into david stern and nothing happened. no fine. no suspension. where as eddie house got a fine for doing the big balls celebration after the game winner.

  • @lakerstrufan24

I do watch PTI but it's been a while since I have. It's simple though, KG is higher up the food chain. Unless he does something drastic, the NBA feels he's a good ambassador to the sport, whereas Eddie House isn't a household name. Stern knows what he's doing, protecting meal tickets.

  • i wish there was a guy like you to talk lakers, but i know ur team is the sixers. well anyways i am supremely pissed at the lakers. i put not one ounce of this loss on kobe. he did everything he could to will us to vctory, but artest didnt show up. pau looked like a flashback of 09, bynum got banged up, and fisher could not and cannot guard rando or ray allen. i have heard the lakers are open to trade talks and i really CAN see that happening. maybe even for cp3. just any young guard really.

  • @lakerstrufan24 ... the nba owns the hornets. just no way they would ever trade cp3. they need to keep that hornets team attractive for buyers w/o cp3 no one is buying that team for the value assigned. lakers fans are panicking @ the wrong time imo. we all know the lakers don't rebuild, they reload. they will get something done via trade or the players will get back to par like they always do. ive been hearing some crazy trade propositions (melo/nene for bynum/artest) just not gonna happen

  • @lakerstrufan24

I'll be talking more around the NBA soon, because the sixers really aren't doing anything worthy to talk about. I always watch the Lakers and other teams play, because of love the sport. For example, people cried Kobe had no assists that Boston game, yet against the Rockets last night he had 11 assists plus the 30+ points he put up. What's the haters excuse now? And I'm hearing Artest may ask for a trade.

  • Damn.. You know, I'm not that much of a hockey or basketball fan, but I might start watching it because of your show. LOL

  • @JasonsWoods

LOL Nice, it's always good to open up to other sports anyways. Football is almost over, so it's only right to move onto the next sport. Hockey, Basketball and soon Baseball and Soccer will be back.

  • @EventStatus Well... Juan Castillo... New Defensive Coordinator... Mudd... New O-Line Coach.. What do you think?

  • @JasonsWoods

I think it's bullshit we settled for him, I'll definitely be talking about it next week. What's even more sickening is how many fans love this idea. You should see how the sports news channels have been, since the announcement.

  • @EventStatus Exactly. People need to think.. An OFFENSIVE LINE COACH, hired to be defensive coordinator..

  • @JasonsWoods

I know, people are seeing that this guy has VERY LITTLE experience when it comes to being a DC. I just can't support this move by the Eagles.

  • @EventStatus I'm starting to think that the Eagles need a new head coach, new defensive coordinator, and entire new management.

  • @JasonsWoods

I agree, the management is horrible and it seems people/fan are so content with it, which I have no idea why.

  • @EventStatus Yeah, I don't know why people have no problem with it.

  • @JasonsWoods

Oh they'll have a problem with it once the season starts back up. They'll treat it like the McNabb trade "who care's it's (insert sports season here)"

  • @rob2hot

Durant ended the game with 30+ points, he wasn't shut down all game.

  • ★★★★★

  • matt cassel was doing something

and lamar is the only one doing something for the lakers other than the momba

  • @kcking23

I thought they brought in Cassel too late, which was odd of Belichick. Odom caused that horrible foul at the first half, the refs made it seem like Davis had a legit shot at making that half court shot.

  • TRUE luke got to go we have to show heart

    second bosh

is soft b ball player KG and tim will eat him up

  • @Robby818

Luke has been sitting back, collecting a check without earning it. Bosh, it seems like the word is out that hes soft. Shaq called him out a while ago and Bosh acted the same way, like he did with Durant.

  • I agree. The NHL skills competition was very impressive. Just goes to show that average hockey players ain't got shit on them lol, but i missed the game. Was it any good?

  • @Erico68

The game was a high scoring fest itself. There were more impressive passes than competitive goals. If I had to pick out of the two to watch, Skills competition blew the actual game away by far.

  • i agree, it was a great weekend for sports and it was an amazing weekend for the nhl!! my boy, sharpie gettin the mvp so i was happy with that.. looking forward to your super bowl break down

  • @uillini54

I'll definitely be doing the superbowl. Sharp winning the MVP I have no problems with, but the NHL proved over the weekend that they deserve more exposure and should be taken more seriously.

  • snow out there u might have not heard about Chicago we got a blizzard coming lol atleast i get a day outta school

  • @mabey202

Yeah, we've had snow here for the previous 3 weeks. It just won't stop. Tonight throughout Wednesday, they're talking snow, freezing rain, sleet, etc. It sucks!

  • @EventStatus good luck out there then lol cause that sounds bad

  • @mabey202

Last week when the snow hit, they showed on the news public transportation buses running off the road. The city right now is in a heated fight with the mayor, because he said it cost 6mil for snow removal, yet NONE of the roads were clear. He's starting to lie and people are believing he pocketed the money. It's getting quite serious out here.

  • @EventStatus wow it sounds like things are going 2 be changing around there

  • @mabey202

More than likely, it won't change. Citizens of Philly always complain but do nothing about it. Our old mayor before this one proved that when he was caught using tax payer dollars, to fund his family vacations. His brother also owned drug houses in north philadelphia. We've had a couple of city hall probes here, but they just found new ways to screw people out of money. Some even threatened to kill themselves because they couldn't handle jail (Rick Mariano)

  • The Pro Bowl is horrible but I don't know what anyone expects now. You got players that won't go across the middle during the season...hell sometimes not even in a playoff game cause they don't want to get hurt so there is no way in hell they are gonna hit or get hit in an exhibition game. That's the problem with pro athletes these days...pride used to come from your ability to play the game. Now their pride comes from the dollar amount on their paycheck.

  • @lilBULL22000

I agree fully, you can't get these guys to do anything anymore. They don't take any pride in their profession. What is it going to take to get these guys to take something seriously? At this point they should just have a skills competition like back in the day, and just get rid of the game if they aren't going to play hard.

  • the hl all star skills comp was great. Chara breaking his own record, the new skills comps that they put in. and the pro bowl, NFC kill the AFC. I agree. awesome weekend for sports.

  • @Sk8rkoby

NHL Skills Competition was amazing. Those guy showed Hockey isn't just about redirection shots and cheese goals, which many people label it. It takes true skill to be on that level. I would like to see a better competition for goalies somehow though. Taking a couple shots and switching off personnel isn't enough.

  • As a true lifelong Lakers fan every championship team we've had after the Showtime error phones in the regular season after that first Championship. Kobe is one of the few cats in the league that hates to lose and it showed cause him and Odom were the only Lakers that really showed up to play. I don't like it but I won't worry until a month out of play-off time. If they are still this anemic when crunch time comes then the 3-Peat is in jeopardy. Bosh is soft a half melted ice cream.

  • @lilBULL22000

And that's exactly the NBA's problem, it's like watching exhibition games until the playoffs start, aside from rivalries. The NBA needs to do a better job proving it's competitive the entire season. And it starts with the players and locking down on the rules.

  • Kobe Going Thru The Allen Iverson Phase.. Only Difference is That Allen Iverson Had Worse Players and PLayed with Heart 13+ Years Consistently and Compete!!!

@Eventstatus That Was Me On Facebook, Talking About Defensive is Non Existent On the NBA.. lol Where was Lebron When Rudy Gay Drained that Last Shot In His Face, In Previous Matchups. Lebron cant Stop Pierce, Durant, Kobe, Monta Ellis, Brandon Roy.. etc.. When you Coming to NYC EventStatus??? lol

  • @DbzGuru034

Once the weather breaks I'll be coming up to NYC. I usually come up there a couple times a year to ball. A couple months ago I was up there for someones birthday, and before that I was up in Harlem and down at NYU. I usually hang out in Far Rock though, that's where most of my people are. And I agree, Lebron hasn't really stopped anyone.

  • The All-star game is the epitome of what Gary Bettman wants, a lot of scoring. I mean it didn't touch the record of 26 in a game, but I liked the skills competition too. Plus the "fantasy draft" concept was interesting, especially since it had always been East-West or, for a for years before and after the lockout, North America Vs. The World.

  • @RipperEagle96

Yeah, a lot of scoring keeps the fans on their toes. So many breakaways, so many odd man rushes. After watching the fantasy draft I felt every sport needs to follow that style. It makes it random, impulsive for the fans.

  • Lebron held durant to 7-20... if not for the 18 free throws he was awarded due to the heats lack of bigs he would have been shut down. He shut pierce down in the playoffs last yr to a tune of 13.5ppg on like 38 percent shooting... pierce then went on to avg 20+ for the rest of the playoffs. Lebron may not be a "shut down" defender... he's no battier or thabo. But he is a darn good defender man. Durant scored 1 field goal in 25 minutes when lebron turned up the heat... thats how bad it got.

  • @MrJeckel

Lack of bigs? Oh come on. Anthony 6'9, Bosh 6'11, Dampier 6'11, Haslem 6'8, Howard 6'9, Big Z 7'3, Lebron 6'8, Jones 6'8, Magloire 6'11, Miller 6'8, Pittman 6'11. They have size. And Durant finished with 30+ points, which is why he's the leading scorer in the NBA. His average wasn't effected. He was fouled because they couldn't stop him. Lebron is a good defender, but not NBA all defense team worthy.

  • @EventStatus I probably should have said lack of "mobile defensive" bigs. Eric dampier, Howard, Big Z... they can't defend and look like they should be retired by now. James jones is only on defense to take charges. Magloire doesn't play, Pittman is in the d-league, haslem is injured seemingly for the year & durant started going off w/ miller on him. Bosh... millsap scored 46 against him. His avg ppg may not have been affected but he shot 35% from the field thats a bad percentage regardless.

  • @MrJeckel

Many teams have lack of Mobile Defenders, what team has all mobile defenders big or small? Miami picked these players to try and win a championship with, so if they aren't happy it's on them. A lot of those players are soft, because that's how the NBA is these days. How many times have you seen players complain about not getting a foul, when the play is still going, instead of not worry about it and helping out your teammates?

  • @EventStatus I'm just telling u how durant managed to get 18 foul shots... Other than that yes he did manage his avg but he shot a poor percentage from the field to do so which lead me to saying lebron was a good defender. For comparison, durant took as much free throws than lebron and wade combined... When they play in MIA i can almost guarantee he won't get 19 fta. I can guarantee that lebron will play good D on him like he has his whole career as lebron is 6-0 against durant.

  • awesome, have u realy been a goalie?, and the pro bowl was bullshit!

  • @xHerbZx

When I played hockey I was a goalie, had so much fun with it too. I still skate from time to time to keep my legs fresh since we have indoor and outdoor skating here.

  • Even tho it was the Pro Bowl i was happy to see my Falcons play good i just wish they would have played like that against Greenbay lol.

  • @DMCDANTE228

The first Ryan pass bugged me though, when he threw the INT, but he bounced back.

  • Great man, I hope you never change. My girl saw this one with me. Said you were cute. WHAT! Then said she was kidding. Whatever sweetheart.

  • @Arabiasi

LOL Nice! Thanks for being a fan of the show, both of you.

  • Pro Bowls sucks now. No need to look anymore

  • @200damary

Yeah, things look pretty bad for it unless they change the format. The athletes not playing hard actually hurt the product.

  • They're gonna franchise Vick!? Heh. He better not slip up, or they'll McNabb his ass!

  • @SickBritKid

If anything Reid should have been gone before McNabb. Look how it ended this year, same result, different QB. It's the coaching.

  • @EventStatus

    Yeah, I agree there.

I mean, Reid was outcoached by WADE FREAKIN' PHILLIPS in the Wildcard last year!

But McNabb was at the end of his rope, anyway...

  • @SickBritKid

We just hired an Offensive line coach as our Defensive Coordinator SMH. Next year won't be pretty for us.

  • @EventStatus

    :O

Jesus CHRIST! What is Reid on?!

Well, that's a damn shame. Maybe the Cowboys can correct our flaws so that way we'll bring back some honor to the NFC East next year....

  • @SickBritKid

The cowboys and giants won't lay down next season, we're in trouble. I'll be speaking about it next week with super bowl coverage. If this doesn't go well, Reid will be gone at the end of the season. But the news is already kissing Reid's ass, supporting this move when every fan doesn't.

  • @EventStatus

Ugh, the Giants. I hate the Giants more than I hate the Eagles. Hell, I respect the Eagles in a friendly-rivalry way. But I do NOT like the Giants one bit. Probably because of how they ended our '07 season...

But you're right, this season was nothing short of disastrous for all of the NFC East sans the Eagles, who had a great thing going with Michael Vick and Desean Jackson beings beasts.

But if Reid thinks that Business as Usual will take him the same length next year...

  • @SickBritKid

I agree, the NFC won't be weak next season and if Reid thinks we're going to just walk into every stadium with the same gameplan this year, he's crazy. The only time I liked the Giants was back in the day, when they had Phil Sims. Looking at the team now, there's not ONE person I like on the Giants. I still do like the friendly rivalry with them though.

  • @EventStatus

Meh. The Giants ain't a friendly rivalry for me. I hate the Giants. I had everything about the Giants.

For me, I've got too much respect for Philly to truly hate them. Being ringless and yet still looking like a legit threat(even if Reid winds up coaching like shit in the playoffs) is something to admire.

So do you think that the Cowboys are gonna pick up Fitzgerald in the coming draft? It's said he's going free-agent and I wouldn't put it past JJ to waste picks on him...

  • @SickBritKid

I wouldn't put it passed JJ to try and get him, but I'm hearing the Cowboys may trade draft picks with the Pats.

  • @EventStatus

I don't see why we should.

I mean, unless the Patriots are gonna give us their friggin' O-Line.

Because seriously, we're coming off of a 6-10 season. We should be getting some excellent picks.

  • @SickBritKid

Hopefully this CBA gets solved soon, so people can really buckle down and start looking at draft picks.

  • @EventStatus

    CBA?

  • @SickBritKid

    Collective Bargaining Agreement

  • @EventStatus

Well, he's got another thing coming.

  • Did you hear about David Akers 6 yr old Daughter having Cancer? I wonder if he's gonna come back next season.

  • @BiggestEaglesFan93

He'll be back, and people are saying that's why he missed those FG's in the playoffs. Yet Akers himself never used it as an excuse.

  • I might be going to the NBA all star game. anyways i would have like to see a way better game in the pro bowl. had to turn it off after the 1st quarter.

  • @MrJag21

Have fun there, the weekend competitions are great! Well... except for the celebrity game.

  • i hate dick rider's that dick ride one player of the team , they don't understand that just One superstar cant do it all , just like Lebron couldn't do nothing in Cleveland because of his team mates ,i don't watch hockey =/, and don't care about the pro bowl lol , im just waiting for the superbowl

  • @reym613 Man im getting sick of The whole Lebron got to the playoffs by Himself. PLZZZZ. Your seriously going to sit and say the cavs got back to back 60 plus wins in a season and it was all him? I agree he was the main reason. But the teammates he had werent all that bad as many say. they all complimented lebrons style.

  • @ZSX1112 Look at them now. Look at his teammates now. 8-39... 8-39 with essentially the same team. And if you want to go back to b4 varejao and mo got injured they were on a 8 game losing streak... That team freaking sucks. They are the WORST TEAM IN THE NBA. they have lost 19 and i repeat 19 STRAIGHT GAMES. That is championship caliber? let me tell u a story... The yr mike jordan retired, the bulls won 55 games i believe and almost went to the finals.THATS a good team. not these crappy cavs.

  • @ZSX1112 Seriously... The cavs are 1-29 in their last 30 games and you are going to tell me that his teammates weren't all that bad as many say? THEY ARE WORSE THAN I THOUGHT. 1-29... in their last 30... the WORST LOSING STRETCH IN NBA HISTORY... and they aren't as bad as many say... OK live in your dream world. Then after you get out of it realise that a team that won 66 and 61 games with the leagues best record the past 2 seasons is now 8-39 with the worst record in the L... dream on.

  • @MrJeckel As i said before those players were specifically designed to fit lebron james. and they also have the worst record because of injuries. the cavs also lost Big Z, Shaq, Delonta west And telfair .to free agency. Back to the injuries. Most of there scorers have been out And there Varijo or how ever you spell it is out for the year. Mo has been battiling injuries. now with there prime scorers out they have been forced to play there rookies who are not really nba ready yet for alot of mins.

  • @ZSX1112 The core is still on the team. Jamison, Mo and varejao are still on that team. those were the CORE guys that played with lebron as big Z hardly got minutes at the end of the season due to being traded then resigned. Fact is that it is basically the same core and they have lost 21 straight games. They are in the worst losing stretch in NBA HISTORY... let me say this again. They are in the worst losing stretch in NBA HISTORY!!!. Mike jordan retired and his team won 55. no excuses.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJeckel couple that in with the new players they have and an entirely new coach they got this season

  • @ZSX1112 Their core players are still on the cavs... Mo, Jamison, Varejao, Hickson, gibson , Moon, Parker played minutes with lebron. Mo, Jamison, Varejao, parker started for the cavs at some kind of duration last yr. Varejao was injured during the losing streak and mo got injured by the time they lost 8 straight. Jamison is still there yet they have lost 21 straight, will lose 24+ straight making them hold the worst losing streak EVER and are in the worst slump in nba history... enough said.

  • @MrJeckel now hold on. you are not goin to convince me that lebron got back to back 60 wins by himself. I Give you james leaving is the main reason why they are doing so badly, but i dont think he's the only reason. But like i said there best players have been injured not counting jamison. To me i fill this cavs team has just given up. there is no chemistry on the team. and there record shows. All i'm saying is that This team was made to complimit james and james only.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJeckel They don't even have a real center with V being done . And they sure dont have a main offensive player. They have WAY more issues with the team then just Lebron leaving. I am however surprised at there record tho haha.

  • Comment removed

  • @reym613

I agree, if you look at championship teams in the past. They all had a great amount of role players with a star, or that star was good enough to make those role players better. Kobe can't do it by himself (people forget when he was requesting a trade if he didn't get help) Lebron couldn't do it by himself. Difference is, the media hyped the Cavs through the roof saying they were the best team Lebron had. Nobody is going to forget that playoff where people felt he quit.

  • Man as far as NBA, i know my hornets a beast. Winning 10 games in a row!! LOL I'm liking basketball now. Packer and steelers, I like them both!! So ima be cheering for both teams.

  • @xXFOOLISHWAYSXx

Same here, it's time to move onto Basketball and Hockey after this superbowl. I also can't wait for the NBA All Star game.

  • good point on pro bowl man

  • @coolstir10

Thanks, they really need to work on it because if not, they're actually hurting their product.

  • lately ive really enjoyed watching boston play. like their team and how each player has their own role

  • @BigJGresh

The Celtics aren't even healthy yet, that's the scary part. They will be the team to beat in the east.

  • I didn't watch a second of the pro bowl, it was pretty stupid.

  • @PowerRangers12345

I don't blame you, the way those guys didn't try was pathetic.
