You are probably referring to the misunderstanding about this song, which resulted because of a reporter's error. If you do some further research you will learn that, according to Tori Amos herself, this song is actually about women bringing each other down - whether it be mothers, friends, sisters. The one example she gave was sited as the primary subject of the song - never Tori's intent. And yes, she does know the whole story:)
