  • he is brilliant!

  • wow

  • Glory to God indeed!

  • Great playing! Im practicing this piece on my own, im 28, and its not easy. Great skills. God bless you!!

  • You're really good!

  • Fuck, that's awesome, and for 12 months!? He's like... 87% better than me D:

  • My piano looks better than that, its a baby grand yamaha

  • Wow, he's great!

  • nice piano

  • At age 4 my daughter attended her first piano recital. A little boy played this piece and it made a lasting impression.

Check out her string quartet (age 15) at "Mozart Quartet No. 2 in D Major"

  • no. just..no!

  • omg amayzing... you go a famous musical that adults have spent months learning playing this and you see a kid do it perfectly i have no doupt that u futuer will be marless

  • Bravo, Matthew! Bravíssimo! Great performance, thank you!

  • I think you did great! Just in the first 50 seconds I tihnk it shouldn'y be played staccato. I have the sheet music and I know it says to, but I don't think it sounds as nice. :)

  • Bravo

  • amazing

  • Truly amazing for only 12 months of study. What other instruments does Matthew play? Keep up the great work, Matthew!

  • u played every note clearly

  • @timfey that's because it's a good camera. :)

  • u does a nice job at such a young age.even i know none in piano ,i feel good to listen to it!!!!

  • Nice job!!!

  • nice piano :)

  • good job!keep it up!i thought this video was about matthew bellamy lmao

  • Yeah same here!

  • same

  • good job.

  • wow nice piano!

  • Well done :) You did a great job. Just a bit of advice, maybe speed up the third theme a little bit. But it's really good!

  • you can speed up a part, in that case you'll need to speed up all the piece

  • hey! i can play that 2 ya know! except 4 i did not master all the parts.........

  • theres a few things wrong with this piece, but i aint gna shoot you down, you have done a good job for only 12 months :D well done

  • great, great job. I'm almost 27 and still haven't mastered this song! :)

  • excelent work, you just need to make those octaves sound harder, really amazing playing, keep it up.

  • This isnt the complete version, the left hand on the sheet music I have for this isnt an adaptation like i assume this is. The real version has many more grace notes as well as larger left handed chords.

  • Wow! 12 months? This is excellent! Very solid performance for this age and length of study!!

  • absolutely amazing....touched

  • wow!!

  • can u send me the music sheet?!!

  • you can find it @ imslp, search for mozart, k331

  • This is brilliant for only 12 months of playing, well done!

  • good job. So when you did this video you had only been playing the piano for 12 months. Your very good for such a short time playing. Well done. Keep it up.

  • pretty good

  • i would play like that too, but im too lazy lol, i gotta actually try, XD lol!!

  • niceeeee 3:30 finger speeeeeed, wuao

  • to slow!

  • He's pretty good for age 12.

  • Pay attention to some of the finer details, and this would be perfect. It's those small things that count in a song.

  • a bit faster would be even better

  • btw to everone who is saying that they wish they could play instruments, its never too late. Never think that your beyond the stage and that its too late to start learning, after all, when is a bird too old to sing?

  • if it weren't for mozart, keyboard/power metal would not exist. thank you

you should all search for the dragonland version of the song

  • Cool. He's like me. I can play this, I'm 13 and I've been playing the piano for 6 months without lessons. He's really good

  • that was amazing! great job thanks for posting!

  • un genio, no hay palabras, muy bien

  • try to play it whith more legato and not so whtithooout spirit.the forth part is ok.keep rocking

  • cool

  • Sharp PRuvo

  • Very good! Wish I could play it like you, but I think I need to practise some more!! :D

  • One word: Brilliant!!!

  • nice performance...truly a great piece of music! I learned this when I was about 12 and still love playing it today.

  • so it means tat if i start the violin at 10 i can still be pretty good

  • wow that was really good! and you learned it so fast!

  • Great job man, please check out my turkish march video.

  • Great job man, please check out my turkish march video.

  • Dude, you could fill concert rooms with this performance.

  • WOW! 12? Your going to go far in life!! Great song by Mozart, and great playing!

  • ur flipin awesum dude hey u can hoola at me sumtime aight just hit me bak i have a thing 4 piano players

  • ur flipin awesum dude hey u can hoola at me sumtime aight just hit me bak i have a thing 4 piano players

  • I'm just 13 and can also play Rondo Alla Turca, but, I play the piano since I'm 9, and sat there all day to studie that song. And I had to learn it for about 2 Month.

    I think you're lieing, too...

  • Technically very nice, better than I can, but I agree with fd3slover, while it is correct, the playing is too mechanical and lacks feeling. Still impressive though.

  • Impressive...

    5/5

  • Very nice!

  • I can hear each note clearly Good job practice more to get better

  • i think your lieing about he only started 12 months ago.....

no one in the world could play a grade 7 song when they are only one year into piano unless they did nothing but study deadset all day for a year

but i am havingmy own opinoin

  • grade 7 based on what exam/book/whatever?

  • not to be mean, but hopefully helpfull:

your too preppy when you play, i noticed your left hand isnt as high as your right, and its supposed to be in a claw shape. and you should play with more depth, like actually feel it, cuz it seems like your playing with no soul...

but thats just me, dont hate.

    im just trying to help

  • Very good man :). 1q ¿Is that piano a B2 u're playing on? In has nice sound. :)

  • I think your just playing it with a bit too much staccato. But how can you play it so quick?!!!!

  • I thinks it's supposed to b staccato, knowing other compositions of mozrt i'm sure he played it staccato

  • thats the right speed an there is supposed to be a lot of staccatos if you look at the music now one thing about this vid is that he has no soul put into it its lifeless

  • job well done. nice to see talent at such a young age.

  • It's wierd .....in a good way

    lol

  • i think you need to bring out the grace notes a bit more.

it was pretty good otherwise : )

  • wonderfull you have it!!

  • AAAAH PLEASE i need the sheets for this.. i practise this song but i only have 1 page. cuz it's a piano method book.

can somebody send me the full sheets please .. :X i'll give my e-mail if somebody wants to help...

  • Why don't you just buy it like everyone else. Try musicroom. That where I got mine from

  • Do you mean he can play this song 12 months after he started? This is Grade 6 music. Boy, he must be more genius than Mozart himself.

  • its much harder to play on guitar :)

i know cause i can do it on both :)

  • wooooo!! "I can do it on both" show off

  • its actually grade 7 on the piano for leisure syllabus

  • can someone please explain to me what piano "grades" are about? if someone plays grade 6 for instance, generally how many years experience of piano playing would one have?

  • well ive played for 5 years, and i was on level four i think... but yeah so you do the math cuz i cant

  • good :D

  • good job, keep it up =D

  • a bit schoolish

  • oh my god .. you are verry good .. really!

    i can't close my mouth ..^^

i am playing piano since my 6th birth ... and ... =( i cant play as good as you .. i wish i could..!!

    =)

  • yr amazing!

  • at some places u needed 2 play a little softer! but 12 months?????????????? omg!!!!!!!!!! u will b the future evgeni kissin! or maby even the future glenn gould!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • excellent !

  • curve ur fingers m8 CURVE THEM

  • no that was good

  • Nice, but I see that your cutting out a few notes..

    great job playing!

  • Keep practicing.

  • magnifique superrrr bien joouer

    very good it's beautiful

  • veryy good

  • i like how u slow down for the a major part.

my favorite part of the whole tune

then the f sharp harmonic minor goin down.

    <3333

  • great job!!! all you need to do is add some details but concidering you're 12 and this a practice, great job!!! i hope you keep up with this and keep learning more compositions :]

  • Too choppy

  • play with more curved fingers in some of those parts, it will help.

  • good job

  • Fantastic! Great work!

  • Fantastic!

  • wow:) you can realy beautiful:)

hoe long did you take to lurn this??

  • haha, i've learnt this song by ear.

  • beautiful!!

  • Awesome! I just learned this piece from my teacher. He taught me Mozart's own fingering and performance style.

  • your piano is very beautiful!

  • u r VERY good. ive been playing for 4 years, since i was 6 and now im ten and all that i can do is the slower version of that and the advanced version of fur elise

  • I started playing piano two years ago, when I was 17, and I just learned this song, but haven't perfected it yet. You're never too old to start playing. =3

  • Very nice!

  • really good i've been playing longer than u and i can barely play this piece

  • hi:) nice playing. heheh. i'm learning that too. Before, I was used to playing just the first part. But since, my our class in social studies will be tackling classical music, i was then motivated to finish this piece. yey ! haha

anywayy. u're aren't supposed to use the pedal with this piece right?

  • Nope, I don't think so at least

  • nice sound..

  • You know the original piece that Mozart wrote didn't have so many staccatos, but the publishing company for most versions of this piece thought it sounded better with staccato for most of it. Pity

  • i wanna learn to play but im too old.

  • too old? :S never is too later...

I started to play the guitar last year and I'm 17, near 18...

  • NEVER TOO OLD I have pupil who is 90 years old

  • lol i realised he has this habit like me.. he doesn't like to use his little right finger much! xD

  • wown eat job, took me like a month to learn, im 12 also. Well good luk in the future!

  • yay 20,000 view!

  • great job!

  • that's right speed is very important in this song i hope play like this guy , he's very good

  • wow!

    you're really good!

i'm playing the piano since one year too and i'm learning this too

i have to pratice the last part and then I hope I can play it like you ^^

  • Wow! You've only been playing for a year! That's great! I've been playing for several years and just learned this song. You've got real talent!

  • Hey! Pretty damn good! Once you get it memorized you can increase the tempo a bit, but yours is still one of the best Rondo Alla Turca's I have yet heard on YouTube.

  • You can pick up the speed a bit, but a job well done nonetheless.

  • Very clean performance. Could be a little faster. Remember, dynamics are what turn notes into music. I advise you to use them.

  • What about the harpsichord? :-)

  • WOW!! I haven't heard dat song for a while now like 2 years r so!! GUD 4 U!!! at least u only hed had to perform it in front of a cam( i tink), i had to perform in front of tons of people when I was bout 11 r 12.just wait till u reach pro level it torture!!!

BUT NOT BAD AT ALL!! U SHUD BE PROUD F URSELF!!

    CLAP CLAP!!

  • After just a year of piano lesson - Just amazing ! As a proud parent - as long as we 'try' to make it fun for them - its good idea to see your kids starting early and nurturing their talents - It will set them up with skills they can use later in life and as for now keep them away from trouble ... Well Done !

  • wonderfull

    very good good job

    fantastic !!!!!!!

  • LOL I played piano for 2 years and I can already play Chopin's Etude in C minor, which is like 4 times harder than this one...

  • Since he is just practicing its understandable that he is play w/ out emotions, and below speed, cuz when you practice your supposed to practice slow, and slowly you'll get up to pace. I am learning this piece right now, and I have to say, good job... Better than I can do currently! =P But im getting there! Thanks for sharing your video!

  • if you play the piano for just a jear what did you espacte than dude ik play it 10 years hahaha :) do really think that you even would be good afther a jear you suck abbachris

  • Fantastic! iv ben playing piano for over a year now and im no way as good as that! keep it up you got real talent!!

  • This vid makes me wish I've never quit playing when i was young...

  • I played this piece at your experience level too, but it took me atleast 2 weeks to get it the way you have it. And another 2 weeks to add all the dynamics, tempo, and just fix the over fluency. Keep up the good work!

  • Fantastic!!

You play one hell of a piano.

  • You're really stretching those hands, you know, it's like it's gonna rip any second.

  • In the bit with the octaves in the right hand, try to loosen your wrists. Like, a ton. It's easier when you bounce from + to the keys.

I must commend you. I've been playing for ten years and my piano teacher's like 'keep working on this piece!'

  • i cant do that part on 1:O7 its freakin hard 4 me lol i learned fur elise at age 7 the whole song

  • Work out fingering beforehand, it's an awkward positioning. What does Fur Elise have to do with it?

  • I so wish i could play like that!!!

  • I'm so jealous

  • A on technicalities, just need to work on dynamics, may you pass on your skills to everyone who hopes to learn this piece.

  • STOP IT ryukishin115 everyone at some point will need a lesson to learn some piano. Oh and no he is on the right octave

  • u really play very well

  • Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!! You play pretty well, but you must try to add in the dynamics,as well as faster=D

  • Is it just me, or was the first two chords of the octaves part a little slow??...Is this his final product, like he's perfected everything (not everything, but most)?? Because it's all flat, there's no dynamics. I like his articulation though!!

Not to be mean or anything, but does he have a life at all that includes school and social activities? It'll be hard to learn everything, basics and all the techniques properly, in just one year unless you devote an immense amount of time.

  • Aww..nice nice ^^ i wish i can play like you xD

  • yo your the man !!!!!!!!! 5*

  • Very nice. However, work a little on your trills. They don't sound quite as natural as the rest of the piece. It's all reshaping the hand. Work with your teacher on it. I usually trill with my third finger and thumb, to make it easier on the pianist. Why do you think Mozart put them in (hopefully not to make pianists perspire...;-))? Play them a little les mechanically, and the piece will be wonderful! Keep it up!

  • Try the moonlight sonata 3rd movement after only 7 months of play... Look at my video.

  • nice matthew, but some people such as i do not need piano lesosns to learn, but it would be faster,i also play the violin, flute, and of course the piano.Nice though Matthew, keep up the good work(P.S.,i think you are on the wrong octave)

  • What are you talking about? I saw your videos and you need lessons badly.

Anyway- to the kid in this video... Pretty good. An A- technically. Not just put a little feeling into it.

  • You did an excellent job on Alla Turca. But, I find it very difficult to believe that you have only been playing the piano for ONLY ONE YEAR. I have been a musician ( piano, guitar, clarinet, flute, sax, trumpet) for 45 years, and I have NEVER seen anyone play Alla Turca that well after only one year of piano training. Most piano students are playing out of Bastien Piano study books after one year...not Alla Turca !!!

  • Good for you how you have been playing for 45 years! I have been playing for 2 years so far and i am really good at it! I can play "Hungarian Dance No. 5" and "Whirling Leafs". I can play small parts of this song to by ear.

  • Most Asian kids have extreme piano lessons though. look at... Mario Piano and other YOUNG Asian kids! look at them! they have 5 year olds playing like 50 yearold pianists!

  • okay very good my friend, but watch your timing, you intend to accelerate and decrease your timing (though not very much). Try using a metronome, and don't be afraid to practice (very) slowly. :)

  • u got a nice control of ur fingers of ur fingers, they are all independent one from the other.

  • im traying to learn it too

i started piano 7 month ago and now i can play only the first page but not correctly

i'll chanllenge your score (12 month)

    inchallah :p

  • very good as he playing with correct volume all he needs to do is he increase the pieces speed a tiny bit.

  • Sandra8538

    Maestro. Beautifully done.

  • He's just practicing so he's playing is slowly to keep from getting any mistakes.

  • Hey, I have that piano :D

    Lol, nice playing.

  • Very good! But you should play faster!:)

  • nice.

how long did it take you to learn this song?

  • Thank you. He learned & memorized this piece in 2 months.

  • Good job!

    How much was your Yamaha?

  • Hi from Holland,, very well played

  • well done. Hi from portugal
