I went to go see my surgeon on saturday and my surgery is going to be on june 7th and they are going to do both the top and bottom jaw. I am going to get my wisdom teeth taken out in like two weeks.

im getting this surgery this summer, they are going to move my top jaw forward and if they have to move my bottom jaw. i have a question ....how long did it take? my doctor told me it takes 3 hours for each jaw so if i have to get both it would be 6 hrs. also were you in a lot of pain after?

@cwash77 I think it took me 2 and a half to 3 hours but I only did my bottom jaw...been 2 months and I still can't chew

@cadyXcatastrophy67 the plans for getting the surgery over the summer didn't work..i'm stilling waiting to see if insurance will approve it or not...hoping i can get it done in december

lukas it all depends on your teeth, i had my braces on nearly 3 years and im getting my op anytime in the next 3 months

Awhh, im having this done, both top and bottom, Will i have to get a cathader,from 1 to 10 10 being the worst what was the pain lvl. did yu have an expander? is that what the pressure feels like "at night"? im super scared!

Thanks for uploading this. Really inspiring. I should be getting my jaw surgery in a few months and am pretty nervous.

Things I'm worried about is looking dramatically different afterwards, i.e. I've heard your nose can change a lot and you often lose weight from not eating so much.

Your face looks great to me. I know you mentioned still feeling the swelling but looking at you I couldn't even tell you had surgery.

I had a good underbite when i was fourteen. I got a question for you did they have to pull your top jaw forward?? ever since I have had sinus problems what about you?? I had the surgery at fourteen

Yes they moved both my top n bottom jaws ( my top forward )

i have not noticed any sinus problems.. only the shape of my nose has slightly changed.. widend slightly and the tip has peaks up a little like a pixie :)

Getting the surgery was the best thing i have ever done and i really feel a sense of relief .
