Caldari Pilots don't suck, bad pilots do. This video is just an example of why you need T2 gear and skills not to go out and get fucked up bad. You buy a navy mega, expect to get it blown up ... just like every other ship.

It's more about player experience than what tech level your ships or mods are. The Navythron pilot in the video could have had the best in faction gear but he was still a nubbin and being a nubbin is what got him killed.

The navythron pilot was definitely a nubbin, he had large accomodation reps fitted and a couple crappy faction hardeners and best-named blasters as I recall. He was loaded with isk but poorly skilled and fell for our trap. Worst part of all is his support (two other Megathrons) bailed on him.

To be fair, my 'pest had tech 1 guns at the time, though nowadays I fly a fully T2-fitted XL-tanked blaster Rokh when the situation calls for a battleship... though I still prefer flying HACs and AFs.

Ravens have the "toughest tank" if you do missions in empire and rat in them, other than that they are shit :)

1 heavy neut is all it takes to fuck an active tank up, and the rest of the damage, for a passive one...

Raven "Tough Tank" ... please post this setup. Barring a MAJOR GANG, I will never do anything but rat with those. Their tank sux WAY worse then the Drake!

Tankability - Rokh>Raven>Scorp

Rokh will out distance anything in a fleet fight, until the fleet finds the snipers and warps in on top of them. Thron is ALOT more versitile. Shield in fights are a fvking handicap anyway unless your in a nighthawk.

we have other ships than the Raven, my jammer boats still seem to piss off everyone, my Rokh can fuck you up at 170km+...overall i say we still have a pretty sweet setup.

It's a very niche ship. With blasters it's pretty much got a great niche in station and gate camping in empire. Check out my battle of kaap video, I use it well there. The real benefit is having a very heavy XL-booster tank while fighting outnumbered.

The only real problem is moving it from A to B, it's a brick in more than just appearance. XP So there you're correct, in nullsec it's more of a liability. Although I've seen them put to great use in lowsec pirating.

eah, i mean, i've yet to see a rokh in one of my fleets, i think i have NEVER seen a rokh in 0.0, and i've been in 0.0 for almost 2 years...

Seems to also be true for minnie t3 bs...

On the other hand lots of ppl use Hyperions and Abbaddons in 0.0...

Abbys are now great gankers and hyperions are great for low range DPS...

The only one of us with lasers was our Absolution pilot, who also placed second on the KM for damage. The Mega was fitted with best-named blasters, and I use 800mm autocannons.
