@grammargoddess888 Problem seems to solved by going to Edit Town then trying to edit another lot, then coming back the original lot. Also by restarting the game. ): Not ideal, but hope this helps.

The dumbest thing about this vid is that while it's too fast to understand (dictionary "tutorial"), the person clearly doesn't even know what he's doing all that well. There's so much useless movement and so many unrelated processes that it's just stupid.

I see in the video how you make a second storey, but whenever I do it, the walls on the second floor stick out of the roof so IDK!

Can you build a staircase that goes onto your roof? I made a second floor and wanted to go onto my roof. It won't let me put a staircase on my second floor but I can put one on my roof (that I can get up to) If you can do that can you make a tutorial for hat please? Thank you

What i did was bulid the house in the hallyway put a stair case to level 2 then i put some stairs to the basement then put glass railling like and flated out floor

then what i did was i put little windows next to the stairs then the stairs were leading up to the front garden and i put a door at the end of the door that is how i bulid it

keep toying with it sometimes it can be a pain in the arse. try building one side of the basement wall then putting the foundations in on that side only then do the other sides.

Hi Addieo, did you figure out how to make a pool in a basement. I vaguely remember it was possible to do this in Sims 2, but in Sims 3 after building a basement (as you did it), I couldnt add a pool in the basement. Another method i tried was to create the depression first, then build the pool underground, before adding a foundation, but the foundation will still avoid the pool.
